We deeply appreciate and support your Derivative Work Activities, which is why we have prepared the following guidelines.
These are designed to ensure a safe and enjoyable creative environment for creators
while also helping to promote the game's appeal. Please refer to them as you continue your outstanding work!
1) "Game IP" refers to all intellectual property rights associated with BrownDust2, including but not limited to its worldbuilding, storyline, characters, monsters, images, background music, and videos.
2) The copyright and intellectual property rights of any content utilizing the Game IP belong to BrownDust2.
3) "Derivative Works" refers to creative works made through use of the Game IP or through creative adaptations of BrownDust2 content.
4) Mere reproduction of the Game IP as-is, such as tracing or equivalent actions, is not considered a Derivative Work Activity.
5) Creating, distributing, or servicing a game using the Game IP is not considered a Derivative Work Activity.
6) When disclosing Derivative Works, you must clearly credit BrownDust2 as the source. For specific resources, such as music or videos, you must include a link to our official channel. Certain Derivative Works, such as figures, must go through the appropriate licensing process.
7) Derivative Works may be used for non-commercial and limited commercial activities, provided they remain within the following scope:
i. Revenue generated from advertisements or sponsorships for Derivative Works posted on free content platforms, such as YouTube, Twitch, is permitted. However, revenue from other sources is prohibited.
ii. Sale of Derivative Works at events hosted or attended by Neowiz or BrownDust2 is permitted.
However, prior approval must be obtained from BrownDust2. To obtain approval, you must submit a proposal including your personal information for identity verification (name, contact details), a list of Derivative Works, pricing details, final design drafts, inventory details, and a sales plan.
iii. Derivative Works must be sold directly by the creator. Third-party distribution networks, such as retail stores, wholesalers, distributors, or online marketplaces, are prohibited from purchasing and reselling these works. Sales must be conducted either in person or online by the creator themselves.
If you wish to sell through third-party distribution networks, you must obtain prior written consent from BrownDust2.
iv. Businesses registered as corporations or sole proprietorships that intend to sell Derivative Works based on the Game IP must obtain prior written consent from BrownDust2.
Failure to comply may result in BrownDust2 taking appropriate measures, including but not limited to a formal request to cease sales.
8) All Derivative Works must comply with copyright and relevant laws. They must not violate public morals, ethical standards, or social order. The following are strictly prohibited from Derivative Works:
i. Content that could harm the reputation of BrownDust2
ii. Content that violates laws or infringes upon the rights of others, including intellectual property and portrait rights
iii. Content that discriminates against, denigrates, or promotes hatred toward any group, religion, race, or gender
iv. Content that is violent, disturbing, or graphic
v. Content that can be mistaken as official company content
vi. Any other content deemed inappropriate by BrownDust2
9) For any derivative works that violate these guidelines or applicable laws, BrownDust2 reserves the right to immediately revoke permission to use the game’s IP and to take any appropriate action, including removal, suspension of distribution, or transmission of the infringing content.
10) All rights to the Game IP are reserved by BrownDust2.
11) These Guidelines provide basic information for creating Derivative Works. They are subject to change without prior notice, and separate policies may apply depending on individual circumstances.
