After completing your journey in Monoco's Station, it's time for the Expeditioners to venture into Old Lumiere. In this walkthrough, we'll guide you through every corner of Old Lumiere, helping you find all collectibles and overcome every obstacle on your path to 100% completion.
Walkthrough
Old Lumiere Entrance
When you first enter Old Lumiere, you'll be greeted with the dialogue "Welcome my friends, to Old Lumiere." Continue forward until you notice a magic rope - interact with it to descend to the lower level. Once you reach the bottom, look to your left to find the Expedition Flag: Old Lumiere Entrance. You can rest here!
Opposite the flag, you will find a gestral wanderer named Mandelgo. Here you can purchase Pictos, including Longer Powerful and Healing Counter, for 20,400 Chroma. Mandelgo's inventory also includes Chroma Catalyst x10, Polished Chroma Catalyst x5, Colour of Lumina x3, Recoat x1, and Revive Tint Shard x1. Lastly, you can also challenge Mandelgo to a duel to unlock the Algueron weapon.
From this point, follow the main path toward the massive glowing swords visible in the distance. Shortly, you'll reach an area with collapsed buildings where a cutscene will trigger. During this scene, Monoco clears the path but ends up separating the team. Your party will now consist of Sciel, Lune, and Monoco, while Maelle and Verso are missing. Continue along the main path until you spot the Expedition Flag: Right Street on your right.
Right Street
Take some time here to adjust your skills and upgrades for your current party members. Since the team split wasn't planned, you'll want to optimize your loadout with Sciel, Lune, and Monoco before continuing.
Follow the path forward until you reach an open area where you'll encounter two enemies - a Ceramic Chevaliere and a Steel Chevaliere. Defeating these enemies will get you a weapon for Maelle named Battlum. You'll be able to use it later when your team reunites.
After defeating these enemies, look for a broken doorway on the left side and head down that path. You'll encounter another pair of Ceramic Chevalieres. Defeat them and continue past their location to find Nusaro near a barrel. Return to the main area and go right from there. Once you reach the edge, you will notice the white glowing light. From there, jump down to get 2,495 Chroma.
Go back to the main area where you first fought enemies and take a left. Grapple to a rock first, then grapple again to reach solid ground. Go through the crawl space on the right to collect more Chroma. Return to the main area and defeat the patrolling enemies.
After jumping the first gap, approach the ledge on the right and look down to see a lower ledge. Drop down to find Pictos - Time Tint. Continue down this path to another large field. Climb the ledges to your right to fight a Ceramic Chevaliere and two Steel Chevalieres. After defeating them, keep following the same path, and at the end, you will find Colour of Lumina.
Return to the main area, take a left, and grapple to the other side where you'll see a Fading Man. Interact with him to learn about the Paintress. Continue down the path to the right of the Fading Man until you trigger a cutscene.
The cutscene plays in two parts:
- First, you'll see Monoco, Lune, and Sciel as Sciel discovers one of the rocks of Esquie. Sciel and Lune discuss Verso's intentions, ending with Lune making a disturbing discovery after reading Journal - Expedition 58. They rush to find Maelle, believing she's in danger
- In the second part of the cutscene, you'll find Maelle, Verso, and Noco.
After the cutscene, you'll control Maelle's group. Look behind the broken wall to the right for a Colour of Lumina. Follow the main path to find the Left Street expedition flag.
Left Street
After resting at the expedition flag, follow the main path down to an open field. Defeat the Ceramic Chevalieres patrolling the area, then pass through the doorway to find another open field where the path splits into three directions.
Take the left path first for Chroma x2,495. Next, go right, drop to a pipe, and grab the Polished Chroma Catalyst. Go through the hole in the pipe and use the old Key to open the gate for Journal - Fracture Survivor. Unlock the rope at the edge of the pipe to get back up.
Return to the main area and take the middle path. Defeat the patrolling Ceramic Chevalières, follow the path, and take a right to find more enemies. After defeating them, a cutscene plays where Verso vanishes, and Maelle decides to continue with just Noco.
After the cutscene, you'll see a grapple option on the ledge in front of you. Use it to reach the ledge and find a Colour of Lumina on the right. Drop down to the main path and continue until you reach an open field. Defeat the lone Ceramic Chevaliere in the area, then keep following the path until you come to a broken bridge. Use the grapple to cross to the other side.
Walk forward and you'll notice an archway to the left and a single Ceramic Chevaliere on the right. Go left first to find a group of three enemies patrolling a picto. Defeat them and grab the Auto Rush picto. Return to the main area, defeat the single Ceramic Chevalière, and keep moving forward.
You'll reach a section where the path splits in two, with a building featuring a melted golden facade. Go left and follow the path to get a Polished Chroma Catalyst. Take out the group of enemies (a Ceramic Chevalière and a Steel Chevalière), and use your grappling hook to cross. You'll notice a huge building in the background. Continue forward until you reach the Manor Gardens expedition flag. Rest here before proceeding.
Manor Gardens
Look toward the left boundary wall of the manor, and you'll notice it's broken. Go there and take a right to find 2,495 Chroma by the gate next to a dead enemy. Return to the broken boundary and look at the left side of the garden. You'll spot a door - walk toward it and interact to enter the Manor.
The Manor
Once inside the Manor, check the sink on the right to pick up an item called Renoir. On the left side, you'll notice another door leading to a bedroom. Next to the bed, you'll find Journal - Renoir. Exit through the main door of the bedroom to enter a hallway.
The door directly in front will be locked, so take a left and then another left. Follow the stairs down to reach the main lobby. On the right, you'll find the Expedition Flag: Entry Hall. Rest here if needed, then take the main door to return to Old Lumiere.
Manor Gardens (Return)
Once back in Old Lumiere, return to the Manor Gardens expedition flag and walk toward the main entrance of the manor. A cutscene will play, revealing that Verso is Renoir's (the white-haired man's) son. Immediately after this revelation, a boss fight with Renoir will begin.
After defeating Renoir, you'll be rewarded with 3 Polished Chroma Catalysts and a Melarum weapon. Another cutscene will play, ending with everyone returning to camp and confronting Verso about his actions and connections.
