Xûr Report: What does Xûr have this weekend? (23rd May 2025)

Xûr is back with a new host of Strange Gifts for the weekend. Come and find out if you should pay him a visit, or if he has nothing worth buying.

It’s a new weekend, which means that Xûr has a host of new offerings available to spend your Strange Coins on. As with every week, Xûr will have a host of different rewards from his Strange Loot pool, available for you to purchase from.

Our weekly Xûr report is here for you to ensure that you know exactly when you need to run over to the Bazaar and grab an item as quickly as possible, to make sure that you don’t miss out on anything spicy that he may have for you.

Tl;DR

Xûr’s offerings this week are pretty mediocre, with some great highlights but mostly nothing to write home about. The most important pickup will be grabbing The Queenbreaker if you haven’t already, due to its potency as a DPS option.

There is a nice armor set in the Opulent Scholar set, but that’s mainly cosmetic, and the Exotic armor that’s available is nice to have, but nothing extremely essential (other than ST0MP-EE5 if you want to play PvP).

Multivarious Strange Offers

Catalysts

Fighting Lion Catalyst

Cost: 71 Strange Coins

Description: After this weapon fires, equipped Kinetic and Power weapons gain a brief period of increased handling and accuracy.

Rating:⭐

Fighting Lion is an incredibly weak weapon, and so there’s not much to write home about here.

Jötunn Catalyst

Cost: 71 Strange Coins

Description: After this weapon fires, equipped Kinetic and Power weapons gain a brief period of increased handling and accuracy.

Rating: ⭐

Jötunn is a meme, and isn’t very useable whatsoever, so the catalyst isn’t really that vital unless you really need it.

Exotic Armor

ST0MP-EE5

Cost: 41 Strange Coins

Exotic Perk: Hydraulic Boosters: Increases sprint speed and slide distance, and improves High Jump, Strafe Jump, and Triple Jump. Take less damage from targets when airborne.

Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐

If you want to play PvP, pick these up. They’re the best all-arounder for PvP Hunter and essential, if you don’t already have them. The roll has a weird distribution, but it’s not very important.

Actium War Rig

Cost: 41 Strange Coins

Exotic Perk: Auto-Loading Link Steadily reloads a portion of your equipped Auto Rifle's or Machine Gun's magazine from reserves. Provides a moderate benefit to the airborne effectiveness stat of Auto Rifles and Machine Guns.

Rating: ⭐⭐⭐

Actium War Rig is a decent option if you want to run a Sweet Business Titan build, but it is generally nowhere near the top-end of the metagame. Still worth picking up if you want it, though.

Apotheosis Veil

Cost: 41 Strange Coins

Exotic Perk: Insatiable: Immediately regenerate health, melee, grenade, and Rift energy for you and your nearby allies upon activating your Super. After your Super ends, temporarily gain greatly increased melee and grenade regen.

Rating: ⭐⭐⭐

Apotheosis Veil has some interesting and potent DPS options, especially combined with Strand and Euphony. But, this is ultimately better used on an Exotic class item.

Exotic Class Item

Cost: 41 Strange Coins

Xur has an exotic class item for sale for 41 Strange Coins, and so it’s worth using this if you need them.

Strange Gear Offers

Exotic Weapons

Cost: 23 Strange Coins

For further explanations as to whether these weapons are good or not (other than Hawkmoon), please check out our PvE Exotic Tier List.

Hawkmoon

Cost: 23 Strange Coins

Roll: Heavy Grip + Opening Shot

Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

As far as Hawkmoon goes, this is on the high end of rolls and worth getting your hands on.

The Jade Rabbit

Rating: ⭐

Fighting Lion

Rating: ⭐

The Queenbreaker

Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Legendary Weapons

No Reprieve

Roll: Feeding Frenzy + Surrounded

Rating: ⭐⭐

No Reprieve isn’t a great shotgun, but it’s a decent roll if you’re looking for an ad-clear Shotgun (which is suboptimal). Surrounded is fine for DPS scenarios, but Feeding Frenzy is more for ad-clear.

Blood Feud

Roll: Ambitious Assassin + Focused Fury

Rating: ⭐

Blood Feud isn’t great, nor is this roll.

Seventh Seraph SI-2

Roll: Hip-Fire Grip + Dragonfly

Rating: ⭐⭐⭐

Not a great sidearm, but Dragonfly is useable. Wasted third-column perk, though.

The Eremite

Roll: Heal Clip + Reservoir Burst

Rating: ⭐⭐⭐

Reservoir Burst is good on The Eremite, but Heal Clip isn’t active enough. This also isn’t worth spending Deepsight Harmonizers on.

Canis Major

Roll: Impulse Amplifier + Kill Clip

Rating: ⭐

Bad gun and bad roll.

Just In Case

Roll: Flash Counter + Incandescent

Rating: ⭐⭐

Incandescent is usable, but this isn’t really great.

Quickfang

Roll: Relentless Strikes + Flash Counter

Rating: ⭐⭐

Not a great sword, but Relentless Strikes isn’t unusable, and Impact Masterwork is nice.

Crown Splitter

Roll: Relentless Strikes + Surrounded

Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐

Relentless Strikes and Surrounded are great together when Surrounded is applicable, and Impact masterwork makes it even better.

Eternity’s Edge

Roll: Relentless Strikes + Counterattack

Rating: ⭐⭐

Not even Relentless Strikes can save this sword from being bad.

Legendary Armor

This week’s armor set is the Opulent Scholar set, from Season of Opulence. This is a pretty nice armor set in my opinion, and worth grabbing pieces of if you like them.

Closing Time

Xur’s offerings this week were a mixed bag, but there are some gems hidden throughout. In any case, keep an eye out every week for our report on whether you should care about what Xur has to offer, or whether you should ignore his offerings.

Thank you for reading, and see you in the stars.
