After five years in Banges, she decided to go on a journey to punish evil and spread good.

Thunderous Halberd

Echo brandishes a weapon called as Thunderous Halberd, an SR weapon, whose main purpose is to break shields easily at a faster rate. Tower of Fantasy Echo Attacks Guide

Skills and discharge are the characters’ bread and butter, and their main source of damage. Skills that when chained together with another can take down any monster in sight. One can plainly use this skill in whatever way they want, but there are several ways how you can optimize her kit.

How to use Echo in Tower of Fantasy

Echo does not only offer shield shattering, but can be a support as well by bringing you a boost in your overall damage at higher advancements. Unlike SSR weapons, SR weapons like Thunderous Halberd are easier to acquire and upgrade. That said, it will not take you long before you receive the maximum advancement on Echo.

Shieldbreaking

Thunderous halberd is mainly used for shieldbreaking and a great alternative if you have yet to receive an SSR shieldbreaking weapon like King's Scythe of the Crow, Meryl's Rosy Edge, Huma's Molten Shield V2 or Shiro's Chakram of the Seas.

Ideally, you will want to use attacks with higher damage attack multiplier.

For this role alone, this ability to break shields can be further optimized by the use of proper traits and matrices created solely for shieldbreaking which will be discussed on the next section and by getting her first advancement. ATK increase which you will be receiving on the subsequent advancements however does not boost your shatter.

Lastly, your shatter can be further improved by putting up a Balance ( DPS - Support - Defense) or a Fortitude team granting 20% and 60% shatter respectively.

Buffer

The use of weapons that buff your weapons is pretty common to achieve higher damage and maximize your team's potential. Known examples are Tsubasa and Claudia at first advancement. However, these two weapons can be expensive, especially for an F2P player particularly due to the need to get another piece of the weapon. Fortunately, Echo offers the same buff which is a lot more convenient and cheaper.

At first advancement, Echo, upon successfully removing the shield off her target, can boost your party's ATK including you by 15% for 30 seconds. Breaking another shield however, does not grant another 15% atk buff. This is comparable to Tsubasa's A1 which grants 15% at maximum stacks for only 15 seconds. Claudia's A1 however offers higher damage boost (24% for 25 seconds).

Stats Buff: Increase ATK by 15%. Unstackable. The effect lasts for 30 seconds.

Additionally, at three stars, Moonchaser applies debuff to the target by reducing their atk by 5% while increasing yours by the same amount. You can increase it for up to 15% only if you can hit multiple targets in one blow. This is particularly more effective in physical teams as the effect gets doubled against targets affected by grievous.

Thunderous Halberd 3-star: +5% ATK for 15 seconds, stackable from hits on multiple targets, up to 3 levels. Double the effects vs grievously injured targets.

Tower of Fantasy Echo Advancements

Thunderous Halberd's advancements are easier to obtain due to it being an SR weapon. Aside from the increase in your base stat and shatter, you will want to activate the following for the buffs it can provide at first and third advancement.

One star: Increase shatter by 15%. After shattering the target's shield, increase all teammates' ATK by 15% for 30 seconds. This cannot be stacked. Similar to Tsubasa's first advancement, but the duration is a lot longer. This applies not only to yourself but also if you are in a party. Destroying shields of multiple targets all at the same time however does not grant an additional ATK buff.

Two star: Increase the current weapon's base HP growth by 10%.

Three star: After hitting a target with Moonchaser, reduce their ATK by 5% and increase the user's ATK by 5% for 15 seconds (effect can be stacked up to 3 times by hitting multiple targets). Effect is doubled to grievous targets.

Four star: Increase the current weapon's base ATK growth by 20%.

Five star: Double stun duration from dodge skills.

Six star: Discharge skill deals more damage the further it travels, up to 100% more damage.

Echo: Uprightness boosts damage of her allies if they are within 10 meters for 4%. The damage buff becomes 6% upon reaching 4000 awakening points. Note that this only works for her allies and not to herself.

Best Trait for Tower of Fantasy Echo

Echo's own trait is pretty selfless as it only boosts her allies damage and not herself. However, this is pretty good if you are running full support utilizing the Benediction or Fortitude Teams. Aside from this, there are other traits that you can equip with Echo on your team.

HumaUp to once every second and a maximum of 12 stacks, Huma gains one fortitude point for each damage she takes, plus one extra for flame damage. Use all Fortitude marks when using a weapon skill to get a 12-second HP shield equal to the number of marks x0.4% HP. Gain an HP shield equal to the number of marks multiplied by 0.6% HP if Fortitude marks are used when the effect is stacked up to its maximum.

Gain one fortitude point each time Huma takes damage, plus one more fortitude point if the damage is flame damage, up to 1 fortitude point per 1 second, and a maximum of 12 stacks. Use all Fortitude marks when using a weapon skill to get a shield that protects your health for 12 seconds, equal to the number of marks x0.6% HP. Gain an HP shield equal to the number of marks x0.9% HP if Fortitude marks are applied when the effect is at its maximum stacking.
King
ZeroAccurate Calculation: Relics’ cooldown time is shortened by 1.5 seconds when Zero utilizes a weapon skill. It can only be activated once per weapon every five seconds.

Overall Planning: Reduce Relics’ cooldown time by 3 seconds whenever Zero utilizes a weapon skill. Activates just once every five seconds for the same weapon.

Our simulacra and characters love receiving gifts. Well, who doesn’t? Can I give them any gift? The answer is yes, but our characters have their own preference. Tower of Fantasy Echo Best Matrices

MatricesEffect
2 pc King Matrix Set (SSR)
2 pc Shiro Matrix Set (SSR)
2 pc King Set: For every 10% shatter applied to a target, increase damage dealt by 4%/5%/6%/7% for 25 seconds, up to 3 stacks.

2 pc Shiro Set: Increase both damage and shatter to targets with more than 50% HP by 15%/19%/22.5%/26%.

This matrix set is a must-have for shatter units like Echo as it directly increases your shatter and the damage you deal against the targets themselves. 2 pc Shiro allows your shatter and damage to grow by at most 26% against targets above half of their health, while King's set only increase your damage.
3 pc Robarg Matrix Set (SR)3 pc Robarg Set: When a target is shattered, poison the target and deal damage equal to 45%/56%/67.5% of ATK every second for 10 seconds.

3 pc Robarg on the other hand is the only shatter-related matrix set you can get in game. Unfortunately, it does not improve your shatter at all. Instead, it will apply and inflict poison dealing damage over time for a duration of 10 seconds after shredding the shield.
3 pc Sobek Matrix Set (SR)3 pc Sobek Set: Increase damage dealt by 6%/7.5%/9% for each enemy nearby. Up to 3 stacks.

If you're aiming to increase your damage on Echo, you may use Sobek set. Sobek set is more effective in skirmishes where there are at least three enemies around. Increasing your damage through Sobek however does not upgrade your shatter at all.
3 pc Echo Matrix Set (SR)3 pc Echo Set: Using a discharge skill to switch to the current weapon grants 80/100/120 weapon charge.

Echo's own matrix set is good if you are aiming to spam discharge abilities as it grants weapon charge that ranges from 80-120 for every discharge used.
3 pc Standard Operation Matrix Set (R)3 pc Standard Operation Set: Increase damage dealt by volt weapons by 6%.

Tower of Fantasy Best Echo Team

Echo is pretty versatile as she can be placed in any team depending on your purpose and preference. Thunderous Halberd does not just offer shield-breaking but she can add herself to the team to activate the Balance or the Fortitude resonance. Additionally, Echo makes a good contribution to the team with the buffs that she offers to the table.
Down below are several team compositions that you can run with Echo.

Samir - Echo - Nemesis

The mono-volt team works well with Echo, especially with the presence of Nemesis. Each one of them benefits from Nemesis' Volt Resonance. Volt Resonance increases your volt ATK and volt resistance by 15% and 25% respectively. Samir being the main DPS will have to stay for most of the time, while gaining charge for other weapons. Samir can be replaced by any DPS such as Tsubasa and Crow. Once the shield is up, Echo shall make her entrance to get rid of shields for faster clears and so as to avoid suffering from the boss' ultimate skill. Volt resonance however will bring no effect to your shatter. Meanwhile, Nemesis provides healing with her dodge attacks and slows from her kit that even works for bosses.

If you lack Nemesis, you may use Cocoritter, Zero or Pepper.

Claudia - Shiro - Echo

As mentioned, Echo also functions better with physical teams than the rest only if you have her at third advancement. Physical weapons like Claudia's Guren Blade and Shiro's Chakram of the Seas apply Grievous effect which renders the target vulnerable to damage by 20%. Apart from it, you can receive at most 15% ATK boost if they are hit with Echo's Moonchaser. Combining all of buffs (assuming you have at least Claudia's first advancement), best believe Shiro being the main DPS will be able to dish out higher amount of damage than usual.

Echo - Huma - Flex

If you are more focused into breaking shields, Fortitude Team is the best route you can go for. Fortitude brings forth an additional 60% shatter and damage reduction by 25% (and an additional 20% in party). You can have Huma in this team with her dodge attacks, and take advantage of her high charge rate as well to be able to use more discharge. Echo can be replaced with Ene if you do not possess another defense weapon. The third slot can be occupied by either a DPS or a healer, depending on your preference.

Bai Ling - Echo - Claudia

For cheaper options, you can pick Bai Ling instead. Bai Ling is the only SR simulacrum wielding a physical weapon, so this makes her the only option if you're aiming for a physical team. Claudia fills the third or the flex role as the sub-DPS and buffer (at at least first advancement) and to activate the physical resonance. She can however be replaced by at least A1 Tsubasa for the 15% atk buff.

Bai Ling - Echo - Pepper

For starters, this team takes less resources to obtain and build compared to going for an SSR team. Bai Ling as mentioned, becomes your damage dealer who can land projectiles and several attacks from afar. Echo on the other hand can increase her damage significantly right after destroying shields, which will become quicker thanks to the additional 20% shatter given by the Balance team. Pepper on the other hand will maintain and help the team survive by providing heals from her skill, discharge and dodge attacks if she is at at least A1.

Best Relics for Tower of Fantasy Echo

Colossus Arm: Summon a colossus arm to battle for 20 seconds. Gain hitstun immunity for the next 20 seconds. Tap the Relic again to cancel.

Normal attacks deal damage up to 1387.7% of ATK and strongly launch enemies. Skills deal damage equal to 453.5% of ATK and strongly suspend enemies. This effect can occur once every 10 seconds.

Confinement: Create an area of confinement with a radius of 7 meters for 10 seconds. Energy pulses within the area, dealing elemental damage equal to 73.4% of ATK every second, based on the current weapon's element. Targets that touch the edge of the area are afflicted with a 2-second stun effect.

Couant: Summon a droid and generate a shield for 5 seconds. The shield disappears after 5 seconds or after being struck once. When it disappears, it knocks back nearby enemies, dealing damage equal to 100% of ATK + 50. If broken within 1 second of being created, the shield will stun enemies for 2 seconds.

Getting SSR simulacra and weapons takes luck in order to get them. If unlucky, you might even have to reach the maximum pity in order to get them. Fortunately, there are SR weapons that you can use at your disposal. SSR weapons might be greater than these, but that does not mean they are useless. In fact, since the rates are higher for SR type, getting their dupes and gaining access to their advancements are way easier.
