S Tier
Platinum Collar
The Platinum Collar boasts the highest magic stat among his weapons. Its abilities include 16 points in healing and 9 points in critical potency when it's leveled up to 90, without any overboosts. With 16 points in healing, you can reach Red Level 3, granting a substantial +30% increase in healing potency. To maximize its healing potential, you'll need to reach level 10, requiring 100 points. The Platinum Collar also grants Red the ability to perform an area-of-effect (AOE) heal and regeneration. While this ability is reminiscent of Aerith's Limit Break, it's worth noting that it's not as powerful. As for support materia slots, the Platinum Collar provides a 10% attack boost, a 20% magic damage boost, and a 20% buff/debuff time extension. You might consider placing a Breach materia here since Red typically doesn't require Barrier or Manaward.
Gold Collar
The Gold Collar offers an AOE magical defense break, which can be quite useful, especially when you have a magic DPS unit on your team, as it speeds up wave clearing. The Gold Collar provides 16 points in magical attack and 9 points in earth resistance. While his magic damage is relatively low, the magical defense break can make a significant difference in battles.
Junk Collar
The Junk Collar can also be quite effective due to its magic attack break. It offers 16 points of physical defense and 9 points of fire resistance when leveled up to 90. This is similar to Tifa’s Tiger Fangs and can be really useful if you don't have any other debuffers on the team.
Rage Collar
This deals fire physical damage with a modifier of 750% when fully upgraded. The stats are skewed towards magic attack, but it only has an ATK bonus and fire potency bonus. The great thing about this is the high ATK bonus of 32 and 54 when fully overboosted. This is a sub-weapon for increasing the ATK bonus when a unit is already capped in either PATK or MATK. It is also great on Red XIII for fighting against fire-weak bosses like Shiva.
A Tier
Seaside Collar
The Seaside Collar has the ability to lower the enemy's lightning resistance. However, it's important to note that this effect only works against enemies that are already weak to lightning.
Sleek Collar
With the Sleek Collar, you gain an AOE magic defense buff. This collar provides 8 points of magical defense and 4 points of wind resistance.
Noble Collar
While the Noble Collar's magic stat is second only to the Platinum Collar, it also brings an AOE water magic attack to the table. Additionally, it grants Red 24 points in attack and 9 points in water potency. Its third support materia slot increases damage to A sigils if a ruin A materia is placed there.
B Tier
Hell House Collar
Iron Collar
It's the perfect subweapon for any non-elemental damage dealer who has already maxed out their physical or magical attack.
Leather Collar
Red's physical nuke weapon, the Leather Collar, has a 940% physical damage modifier with a crit rate of 10%. It gives 24 points of HP boost and 9 points of earth potency. It could have been a great physical DPS weapon, but its first ability doesn't really contribute much to dealing damage. It's best used as an HP-boosting sub-weapon, but I wouldn't invest in this, as the free event weapons from the Tonberry event can do the job better.
Rubber Collar
The Rubber Collar gives Red the ability to single-target heal with a bit of regen. It boosts PDEF and limit break potency. However, it's not as great as his AOE healing weapon, so I wouldn't invest in this because there are better options available.
