How to Play Angela in Mystic Mayhem

Angela excels at punishing enemies who attack her through her counterattack mechanics. Her Elite Angel dash ability gives her good positioning control, allowing her to pull enemies toward her while dealing damage. This makes her effective at controlling where fights happen on the battlefield and helps in setting up skills with AOE damage.

She should be positioned on the front line. As a defender, her job is to absorb enemy attacks and protect your damage dealers. Placing her at the front allows her to completely use her passive.

Angela is quite a strong character. When you start playing her, you might feel she is not as tanky as Hulk or Juggernaut, but as you level up her, you will realize she has quite a lot of sustain, and the best part is that she does decent damage as well.

Angela contributes decent damage while maintaining her defensive role. She can weaken enemy defenses with Heven's Rain while reducing incoming damage through Invincible Ichors, making her a great choice for players who want a defender that can actively help win fights rather than just survive them.

As enemies deal more basic attacks, Angela builds up her Heven's Resilience stacks faster, increasing her block chance and counterattack frequency. The more enemies focus on her, the more dangerous she becomes to them.

Best Team Composition

Angela works well with a lot of other characters. In the current meta, you can fit her in most teams, but the team composition depends on the mode and enemies you are facing as well. However, she is a solid front line, so you can fit her with most other characters.

Her ultimate reduces the enemy DEF, so this means any character that deals physical damage can work well with her. She pairs extremely well with meta defenders such as Hulk and Sentry. Furthermore, she pairs well with Armor as well, as Armor's kit syncs well with her.

If you want to build a great team comp with AoE damage that works in most modes, try playing Hulk, Emma Frost, and Angela (sustain and AoE damage). If you want more damage, you can take out Emma Frost and add in a striker such as Iron Man or Lady Bullseye.

Best Artifacts for Angela

Both defensive and offensive artifacts can work in her case, however it is best to go defensive:

  • Extremis: Increases the wearer's attack by 8% and defense increases by 8% when their HP is below 50%. This artifact is perfect for Angela because she gets stronger when under pressure, just like her passive ability.
  • Force Field Gloves: Increases the wearer's HP by 10.8%. More HP means Angela can take more hits and survive longer on the front line, which is exactly what a defender needs.
  • Sling Ring: The wearer gains a Shield equal to 22.5% of their Max HP when their HP is below 50%. Once per battle. This gives Angela extra protection when she needs it most, helping her stay alive during fights.

Best Highlights for Angela

These are the best Highlights for Angela:

  1. Light in Darkness: The wearer DEF increases by 12%. A simple but effective boost to Angela's defensive capabilities, making her even harder to kill.
  2. Monster Within: The wearer's HP increases by 16%. Enemies adjacent to the wearer deal 8% less DMG to the wearer. Perfect for Angela since she fights up close with enemies.
  3. Great Responsibility: The wearer takes 18% less DMG. When the wearer's HP is below 50%, the effect doubles.
  4. Blessing of Vishanti: The wearer's HP increases by 10%. After using their Ultimate Move, the wearer gains a Shield equal to 10% of their HP. The wearer deals 8% more DMG and takes 8% less DMG while they have a Shield. This is the best overall highlight for Angela!

Is She Worth Investing In?

As a character that you can get from the normal banner, she is extremely worth it. She scales really well in the late game. She works well in most modes and can be played in nearly any team, so if you have her, you can definitely level her up. We cannot say she is the best defender hands down, but she is definitely one of the best.
