Fishing is a fun side activity in Monster Hunter Wilds to wind down if you are tired of slaying monsters. Not only can you complete your Aquatic Life collection, but you can also obtain useful items and materials from fishing. In this guide, I have listed all known fish in MH Wilds, their locations, and the weather and time conditions required to find them.
Why Fish in Monster Hunter Wilds?

You can go off slashing monsters or capturing Wyverns, so why fish? Not only does it help you relax, but fishing also rewards you with valuable materials—some of which are essential, such as Whetfish+, Sparkly Treasures for trading, and various food ingredients.
You may have noticed that you can use your Capture Net to catch fish instead of the traditional Fishing Rod. However, some fish cannot be caught with the net. In this guide, I will also mention whether each fish can be captured using the net or not.

How to Complete A-fish-ionado Achievement

In Monster Hunter Wilds, there is an achievement called A-fish-ionado, which tasks you with catching 30 Whoppers. Whopper fish are bigger than ordinary fish and cannot be captured with your Capture Net.
The best way to complete this is to travel to Scarlet Forest Area 17 Pop-up Camp and rest until Plenty Morning. After resting, go out to the great lake just outside, and you will see many Whopper fish, such as Gajau, Great Trevally, and Gastronome Tuna.
Those are all the known fish locations in Monster Hunter Wilds! Prepare your Fishing Rod and Capture Net, and get ready to catch every fish to complete your Aquatic Life collection!
