📢 7/9 (Tue) Developer Note Broadcast Summary

📌 Balance Adjustments

1. Workshop of Brilliant Light Difficulty Reduced (00:03:51)

- We have received feedback that some hunters find Workshop of Brilliant Light challenging, so we will make improvements to help more hunters clear this content.

2. Sung Jinwoo Skill Performance Improvements (00:06:22)

- We plan to improve the skills that are not currently being used.

We are committed to supporting diverse gameplay styles by encouraging the use of various skills, ensuring an enjoyable experience for all hunters.

3. Hunter Balance Adjustments (00:08:57)

- We will continue to make improvements to the Hunters that are not currently being used.

Specifically, we will enhance the performance of Hunters who are underperforming in Team Fight content like Power of Destruction. Moving forward, we will focus on balance adjustments through buffs rather than nerfs.

📌 Upcoming Updates

1. Guild Content Update (00:14:36)

We will introduce both cooperative and competitive guild content. Although we initially planned to release this update in July, we have postponed it to mid-August to provide a more stable and improved experience. We appreciate your understanding.

2. Artifact Sources Added (00:17:55)

We will be adding Lv.70 and Lv.75 equipment to the Instance Dungeon and Encore Mission. These new equipment will share set effects with existing sets such as Dragon Knight and Black Lion.

As we introduce new content and Artifacts, we aim to maintain the value of previously used Artifacts and ensure they are not easily discarded.

Furthermore, new Artifacts with unique set effects will also be introduced.

3. Level Expansion and New Job Change

Sung Jinwoo’s max level will be increased by 5 levels every 6 weeks. A new job change for Sung Jinwoo will also be added. This job change will come with new skills and an impressive new costume. Please look forward to it!

📌 Q&A

Q: Cha Hae-In felt powerful initially, but now she seems less effective. Why is that?

A: Since Cha Hae-In is not used much in the Workshop of Brilliant Light, it seems that she doesn't have a place to shine.

We plan to develop content in which Cha Hae-In can play a significant role. Additionally, we are committed to updating the game to ensure that various Hunters are used effectively in different content.

Q: Is it normal that West Wind clears everything in the Battlefield of Time? It makes the game less enjoyable. Why is this being left unaddressed?

A: The completion rate during Season 1 of Battlefield of Time was low. Therefore, the goal for Season 2 was to increase the completion rate for lower-level hunters. We have currently achieved a 90% completion rate.

Starting from Season 3, we will adjust the balance based on Season 2, allowing hunters to achieve the fastest records by playing with recommended attributes. This will prevent only West Wind from being used among Sung Jinwoo's weapons and will highlight the additional damage dealt to weaknesses, diversifying the weapons used for each boss.

Q: Why is there such a lack of content and nothing to do?

A: Players are clearing content faster than we anticipated.

The development team is aware of this issue that players feel there is a lack of content. We are actively working on creating various new events and fun content that you can participate in even after completing the main content. We will continue to add more content to keep the game enjoyable.

Q: Why are you releasing only certain attributes consecutively?

A: Currently, the boss of the Workshop of Brilliant Light, Vulcan, has a water attribute weakness. We planned this so players can clear Vulcan more easily.

The new content added with updates and releases will be focused on Workshop of Brilliant Light. We understand that some players have been focusing on growing specific attribute Hunters to match the updates.

We assure you that we will continue to develop other content where you can utilize the Hunters you have worked hard to grow, ensuring that your time and effort are not wasted.

Q: Why is the story update so slow?

A: We recognize that the story is crucial to our game. Understanding the high expectations of many hunters, we are dedicated to enhancing the quality of our story content, which requires considerable development time.

However, to ensure that hunters are not left waiting indefinitely for new story updates, we also plan to introduce original stories created specifically for the game. We appreciate your patience and hope for your continued anticipation.

Q: Why is Sung Jinwoo so weak? Sung Jinwoo is weaker than Hunters, which makes it awkward and less fun.

A: We are aware that Sung Jinwoo may feel relatively weak due to our focus on balancing improvements primarily for Hunters.

We are currently planning to strengthen Sung Jinwoo through new skills, new job changes, and adjustments to less popular Runes and Blessing Stones. Please look forward to meeting a more powerful Sung Jinwoo in the future.

Q. There's a feeling that there aren't many fun contents other than Workshop of Brilliant Light. Why are Workshop of Brilliant Light Invitations given out in such small quantities?

A. As difficult as Workshop of Brilliant Light is, it was designed to balance the gameplay stress and farming speed among all hunters so that the gap between hunters does not widen too much.

However, we are considering ways to provide opportunities for top hunters to obtain Workshop of Brilliant Light Invitations through events or additional purchase options.

Q: Why did you include the seemingly useless "Healing Given Increase" in Artifact stats when it is so difficult to match the Artifacts from the beginning?

A: We believe that offering a variety of options will make designing Hunters with diverse mechanics fun. We anticipate releasing Hunters in the future, in which Healing Given will play a crucial role, so please look forward to it.

Q: What is the overall balance criteria? It seems that there's not much for paying users to do, and it's difficult for mid-to-low spenders.

A: Due to the nature of action RPGs, balancing can be challenging. Nevertheless, we strive to achieve a balance where both non-paying and moderate-spending hunters can enjoy and clear content satisfactorily. Our development team continuously monitors hunter progression and adjusts aspects such as high failure rates in stages to maintain this balance. Furthermore, we aim to introduce content that allows all hunters to compete and grow, ensuring everyone can enjoy the game.

Q. There are so many voices from hunters, but why are responses and improvements so slow?

A: We are reviewing the feedback left on the community.

However, implementing all suggestions immediately into the servers or integrating every opinion into the game is challenging.

Please understand that it takes time to create content that aligns with our development direction and receives approval from business departments.

We appreciate your patience and are committed to incorporating valuable feedback to introduce content that meets your expectations.

In the future, we will strive to provide a more enjoyable and satisfying service.

We kindly ask for your continued interest and support in Solo Leveling:ARISE.

Thank you.
