Okay, so this one isโฆ complicated. Nergal is neither a true tank, nor a true debuffer, but rather combines the two in a unique way. His Fast Cover skill is pretty much a must, and Close Quarter Release is also going to be essential, as long as you have enemies who can be knocked back (4 spaces!!).
For the last skill, I recommend Mark Illumination, as the ability to inflict enemies with [Vulnerable II] is really helpful, and, if youโre running Safiyyah on your team, she likes having [The Hanged Menโs Mark] that the skill inflicts.
For his equipment, I suggest Guardianโs Will to make him tankier and the Luxite Greatshield for extraโฆ well, shields. For tarot, you can either go Hermit for more tankiness or Judgment to play into his debuffer role.
Engravings are honestly similar in that you need to decide for yourself between more frequent support skills or physical tankiness. It all comes down to what you need more on your specific team. If, for instance, youโre already running Cocoa, youโre probably better off playing into his role as a debuffer, etc.
When rolling stats, aim for P.ATK.
