Beryl Sword of Convallaria: Character Guide #02

Character Introduction

Beryl from Sword of Convallaria is a bright, curious, and talkative sorceress. She doesn't conform to societal norms and has a passion for Luxite research. She spent her childhood involved in human Luxite experiments, which stunted her mental and physical growth compared to her actual age.

After escaping due to an accident, she began a nomadic life and became a sorceress sought after by the Papal States due to her remarkable talent and interest in Luxite research. She has a particular fondness for the Town of Convallaria where she has settled, opening a Luxite Workshop to continue her research. Beryl is immensely curious about the world's mysteries.

Beryl Character Guide

A very very powerful magic damage dealer, Beryl from Sword of Convallaria, is a crucial character for any team. With exceptional DPS potential, strong AoE attacks to clear those PvE contents, Beryl unleashes devastating spells upon enemies with [BOOOOOM!] and [Wall of Flame]. Her passives generates precious energy recovery for consistent damage output. Additionally, her recommended reaction skill enables her to avoid being killed instantly by a sniping enemy or a sneaky assassin.

Tier Placement

Beryl is essentially an SS-tier unit upon global launch. She unleashes a staggering amount of magic damage, even in Sword of Convallaria's story mode. Beyond the impressive damage output, Beryl offers surprising versatility. She possesses area-of-effect (AOE) healing for spot support and buffs to enhance your team's overall performance.

But her true strength lies in her multi-hit magic attacks. These attacks grant multiple chances for critical hits, maximizing your damage output. With this firepower, Beryl establishes herself as a top-tier DPS character, dominating the early game (and potentially beyond) of Sword of Convallaria. As one of the few mages available, Beryl's arrival at the late game provides much-needed magic damage output, making her a must-have character when the game launches globally.

Minor Downside

While Beryl boasts incredible offensive power, she does have vulnerabilities. Enemy "Watcher" units possess abilities that specifically counter Destroyer units like her. Additionally, her lack of mobility makes her susceptible to attacks from long-range archers and flanking assassins. To mitigate these threats, position Beryl strategically behind your tanks and other sturdy units. This positioning ensures she can unleash her destructive magic while staying protected by your frontline.
