Notes
Maitha can be played in a few different ways, and Iโll be covering them in this guide. First of all, you can use her in a generalist way, which is what Iโve done above, since most people arenโt going to want to invest Castalia into the free character weโre given at the start of the game. This build allows her to function as a physical tank (which is her main role, after all) through the use of her โCome On, Everybody!โ skill. Her โInvulnerableโ skill increases her tankiness even further, while her last slot can be used for her โLeg Slamโ skill, allowing her to knock back enemies, should you need that. This last slot, however, is a bit of a flex slot, so you can use whatever skill the situation demands.
The second build you can put on Maitha is a pure tank build, which is the same as the above one, except the final slot should be filled with โCo-Defenseโ. This will stack with her other defensive buffs and make her incredibly tanky! Thereโs not too much to her with this build; sheโs just meant to take physical attacks for her allies.
The final build is a pure knockback build. She can equip all three of her knockback skills, providing her with plenty of options for pushing enemies around. This isnโt always the most practical build, but if you really love Maitha, it might be worth it to you to use a couple of Castalia to make this build possible! Overall, her tank build will likely see more use, though, so I would prioritize getting those skills over the knockback skills.
Her reaction skill is a bit of a decision, since the damage reduction one is better in a vacuum. I chose the strike back one because I suggest running โInvulnerableโ on her, which would make the damage reduction from this skill redundant about half the time, but you can certainly go with the damage reduction reaction and Maitha will function just fine!
For gear, I like Newborn Blade on her, mainly for the HP, though Senator Swift Sword is equally functional. For trinkets, she will benefit greatly from the Mystery Guardian for increased P.DEF or Cooling Powder, for increased healing for herself and making sure she can always receive heals, which as a tank is very important. For a tarot, I suggest Hermit, but Fool will also function very well on her. Her best engraving is wand + pentacle, for the added physical damage reduction. When rolling for engravings on her, focus on HP and P.DEF.
