Notes
Nungal is a bit of a complicated character, so I’ll do my best to make everything as clear as I can in this guide. There are two overarching builds for her: the basic attack build and the Deadly Aim build. They each want different skills, which is why I suggest so many Castalia for her (but you need to decide what you want to do, rather than blindly throw four Castalia her way).
Nungal’s basic attack build is what I have above. Essentially, you use her Eagle Eye and Sniping Stance skills to get her in place and ready to fire, and then you launch basic attacks at a massive distance, enhanced by her Shattering Arrow skill. The idea is to stack as much crit/crit dmg on her kit as possible to make these attacks do as much damage as possible per shot. If you have someone like Safiyyah to reliably apply [The Hanged Men’s Mark] to enemies, you might consider replacing Shattering Arrow with Sense of Purpose.
Her Deadly Aim build has you using the following skills: Marking Bullet, Sniper’s Intuition, Deadly Aim, Quick Reload, and Sense of Purpose. The idea is to nuke a marked enemy with Deadly Aim and that you can do it instantly with Quick Reload. The individual shots do more damage and don’t require line of sight, but the damage output is less consistent, overall. This is also much more NRG-hungry than the other build, so ultimately I recommend the basic attack build, but I just wanted to point out that this build exists.
Also of note is the fact that she converts physical attack into magical damage with all of her attacks.
Her recommended equipment focuses mainly on building her crit stats, though you can also opt for either Longbow of Martyrs or Whale Hunter to boost damage, as long as enemies aren’t immune to debuffs! When rolling for stats, aim for P.ATK.
