Who is Tower of Fantasy Crow?

Tower of Fantasy Crow Build Guide

He is the kind of person who believes that optimism and being able to smile often gets you somewhere – it’s precisely why Crow’s a roundabout goofball, with a knack for cracking jokes, and a magnet to having fun. He wields dual blades, and they are just a fraction of his vast collection of daggers. This is his pride and joy, along with showing off his many, mesmerizing tricks up his sleeves – the ones you wouldn’t want to miss.

Let us now take a look on how he fares up in this Tower of Fantasy Crow Build Guide. From his weapon, attacks and skills, advancement and awakening, best team compositions, down to his upgrade materials and gifts, and how to obtain this powerful unit. If your plan is to be a Crow main and would like to know if he is worth investing for, then this guide is for you.

Crow is an SSR Simulacrum whose main role as a Main DPS doesn’t really outshine the likes of Samir and Frigg, but viable on its own. He is considered an A Tier unit who wields Lightning dual daggers, one he calls Thunderblades, whose main assets lie on sneak attack buffs which, if done properly, could push his damage to greater lengths.

Thunderblades

Tower of Fantasy Crow Thunderblades

Thunderblades, a damage-dealing dual blades that specializes in sneak attacks, is Crow's weapon of choice. His playstyle is a lot of fun if you're diving head first into the battle and at the same time, can bring out high damage to opponents on the first hit. This is no doubt Crow’s greatest strength, and it’s all thanks to his weapon.

Shatter means the ability to break enemy shields. Crow does that terribly with only a shatter value of 6, which clearly indicates that he’s not suited for such a role, while Charge means the rate at how quickly he can gain those weapon charges.

However, Crow does make up for his low Shatter value by having high ATK value instead. He’s the only stealth character in the game so far, and will remain so for the time being.

Listed down below are the base stats of his weapon without the upgrades from equipped matrices, nor leveling it up yet.

  • CS: 272
  • Shatter: 6.00 (B)
  • Charged: 8.00 (S)
  • Attack: 18
  • Crit: 14
  • HP: 1165
  • Type: Volt – When the weapon is fully charged, the next attack will paralyze targets for 1 second and electrify them for 6 seconds, negating all buffs and dealing damage equal to 144% of ATK. Targets can't receive any buffs for the next 6 seconds.

In other terms, these are like “passive skills” that are direct buffs for the said character, using the Awakening points accumulated along the way. In this Tower of Fantasy Crow Build Guide, these are two of the dagger trickster’s most valuable Awakening traits – while the rest are things like an avatar and additional lore content.

Tower of Fantasy Crow Best Matrices

Matrices system in Tower of Fantasy are similar to that of Artifacts in Genshin Impact. These items basically act like the backbone to your character’s performance in-game because of the direct stat buffs and set bonuses they can offer. It can be a game-changer when equipped to a weapon accordingly, and make your gameplay experience much better as you go on.

For Crow, here are his best matrices in the game currently. There are two options – Samir’s set grants an increased damage per hit onto locked-on targets, while Crow’s set is tailored around his kit which relies on crit hits against enemies with an HP below 60%. Either of which works well within Thunderblades’ capabilities.

MatrixEffects
4-set Samir[2] Deal more damage upon hitting a target, each time
by 1.5%, up to 10/13/16/20 stacks. Buff stacking time: 2 seconds.

[4] Each attack onto locked-on targets deals extra
damage equal to 10%/12.5%/15%/17.5% of ATK.
4-set Crow[2] Increase crit damage to targets with less than 60%
HP by 33%/42%/50%/58%.

[4] Crits deal additional damage over time equal to
12%/15%/18%/21% of ATK every second for 5
seconds. Effect cannot be stacked.

Tower of Fantasy Crow Best Team

For the best teams involving Crow, it is best to know that he works well in either an Attack or Balance teams. By definition, Attack means there’s an increase to the final damage which is 10%, and in team play it is further increased by 40%. On the other hand, Balance means an increase to final damage and damage reduction by 25%, shatter and healing by 5%, and in team play, the final damage and damage reduction is further increased by an additional 20%.

In this situation, it’s a good choice to pair Crow with a shield breaking unit, and being the best one yet in that role is King. This is where the Attack weapon resonance buff takes place. Alternatively, Meryl is another option, as she and King serve the same role. Likewise, Balance weapon resonance buff takes place in this lineup.

For the last slot, it is recommended to put in Nemesis if you have her. She is a unit that’s on a league of her own when it comes to both PVP and PVE experience. Nemesis will be the one in charge of the team’s long term sustainability, as she can offer both plenty of healing as well as ranged DPS.

These are two of Crow’s most viable teams at the moment, and it should now depend on which Simulacra you have on your roster, or how you want your game to play out for you to be able to pick your chosen ones.

Tower of Fantasy Crow Pros and Cons

Crow’s kit, and his role as a Main DPS, have their own pros and cons. While it is already established that he’s one hell of a deadly stealth unit with powerful sneak attacks, one of the downsides of Crow is that he still needs his first Advancement level to really bring out his true potential. Until then, this is only when he’ll be considered an S Tier unit.

It’s important to remember that Crow’s DPS output heavily lies on his sneak attacks, or “backstabbing” an opponent from behind (so don’t be surprised if he isn’t dishing out the same amount of damage otherwise!). Along with this, Crow can be a little difficult to play as considering his specialty lies in stealth, so it’s usually recommended to understand how his movesets work and the combos that are tied to his playstyle.
