Fiend Hunt Guide — Abomination

An overview to the fiend Abomination.

Key Points

  • Level 10 DMG Threshold — 222M.
  • 0 DEF and MRES, 100 Light DMG, 0 Dark RES
  • 6 initial SP, 4 SP gained per turn.
  • New Hire Seir is key to this battle, buffing your team whenever she gets hit by the many hits of the Fiend.
    • She will need her Cooldown Reduction potential.
    • Ideally Seir should also have the taunt potential from Demon's Daughter.
  • Skill Sequence: C1 (×2) → S1 → C1 → S2 → S3 → C1 → S4 → S5
    • This sequence lines up with New Hire Seir's uptime (use it off cooldown).
    • Use a set up team for team 1 (and swap to team 2 with Seir) if you need more SP to trigger C1 at the start of battle.
  • Bring DEF gear.
    • The unit tanking C1 (Seir if she's in the team) will need damage reduction. Seir herself can grant herself 100% uptime damage reduction. Otherwise, consider Top Idol Helena.

Skill Rundown

Ambitious Scream

Trigger: Stack 10 chains on the head area.

You should start the battle by triggering the conditional skill 2 times (unless you need a set up turn to get the SP to trigger the skill).

This is because there are no other amplifiers given by the fiend besides the conditional skills. Thus, you should use the conditional skill to stack up New Hire Seir, for a total of 40 stacks on her. C1 triggered 4 times gives your team up to an 880% DMG buff, allowing you to nuke the fiend for the rest of the battle.

However, this Fiend shreds DEF, and since this effect stacks, it is not possible to mitigate the damage with just armor. Damage reduction will be important in ensuring the survival of Seir.

Note: This conditional skill does not refresh between teams.

Pollution Claw

Position your units like so, allowing Seir to take the hit. If you have access to Demon's Daughter Seir's taunt, move her to the right corner instead and taunt before this turn.

Carnage Stream

A regular damaging skill that shouldn't be scary if you have DEF gear.

Zombie Spore

You will need to move aside for this skill, unless you have access to Seir's taunt. If you do have it, move Seir to the right corner (like before S1), and have her taunt this attack. That way you can attack like normal for this attack.

Bio Bomber

Another regular damaging skill that can be mitigated by DEF gear.

Pandemic

A team wipe! Your next team then takes the stage as the Fiend loops back to S1 and clear any undeployable tiles. Do keep in mind that the conditional skill does not refresh!

Hunting the Fiend

C1 (×2) → S1 → C1 → S2 → S3 → C1 → S4 → S5

Seir
Helena
Zenith

New Hire Seir is the key unit for this Fiend Hunt. The Fiend has tons of multi-hit skills, so Seir's DMG buff will stack up very high (54 stacks if you can line it up). You will need New Hire's CD potential to make this skill sequence work.

Line up the Fiend's multi hit skills with New Hire Seir's uptime (S1 and S3 are downtime turns for Seir). Seir's damage reduction costumes will be key to keeping her alive against the DEF shredding Fiend, as well as her self-healing. For teams not running Seir, you may want to consider Top Idol Helena's damage reduction.

The fiend also makes tiles undeployable, which will be very restrictive. Zenith can make this a non-issue, however, allowing your other allies to position anywhere without losing damage output. Do keep in mind not to mistakenly trigger C1 with Zenith when New Hire Seir's on downtime.

DPS Review

Luvencia
Eleaneer
Rou

Luvencia (50% DMG uptime) — based on her trial skill, she has a really high multiplier that is perfect for this fight, given that this fiend is practically single target. However, her single costume has a 3-turn cooldown.

Eleaneer (66% DMG uptime) — she has solid multipliers (and 2 costumes with a 5-turn cooldown). Whether she is better or worse than Luvencia will come down to Luvencia's stats.

Rou (33% DMG uptime) — Stray Cat Rou is her only relevant costume for this hunt, and it has low multipliers. Her AoE doesn't help her against this "single target" Fiend either.

Eclipse
Nartas
Celia

Eclipse (~90% DMG uptime) — Eclipse has three costumes, but Beach Vacation having an 11-turn cooldown means that she doesn't have perfect uptime. She can cast Beach Vacation at the start of battle so she can cast it again after triggering the conditional skill a couple of times.

Nartas (33% DMG uptime) — this fiend is physical, so Nartas gets his full multiplier against this Fiend. He has exceptional damage, but his uptime leaves much to be desired.

Celia (100% DMG uptime) — solid sub DPS with chains to go with her damage. However, only Masquerade Bunny has decent damage.
