Introduction
For our CookieRun: Braverse TCG expansion breakdown, we examine the upcoming cards rumored to be available soon, with a specific focus on the third and fourth series. These cards are expected to be released together in February 2025 for English-speaking players.
Note: I will be providing non-official translations of the official Korean cards while we wait for the official translation from the official website.
New Card Mechanics
Series 3 introduces "Soul Jam", a new type of item card with the keyword “equip.” Each color in the game features a unique Soul Jam that can be equipped by cookies with the "ancient" tag. When equipped, Soul Jams grant powerful effects, enhancing the capabilities of the ancient cookies they are attached to.
Soul Jam Mechanics
Only one Soul Jam can be equipped to an ancient cookie at a time. If the equipped cookie faints, the Soul Jam is destroyed and sent to the trash pile.
Additionally, if the equipped cookie is placed from the break area back into the battle area, the previously equipped Soul Jam will not return to the battlefield.
Equip Effect
When activated, the Soul Jam is placed directly beneath the "ancient" cookie on the battlefield. This strategic placement allows the equipped cookie to gain significant advantages.
Soul Jam Cards Translations & Discussion
Card Name | Color Faction | Translated Description |
---|---|---|
Soul Jam: Light of Passion | Red | {R}{R}{R} Select up to one of your opponent's cookies. Deal 2 damage to that cookie. And you can equip this card to your [Holly Berry Cookie]. Increases the cookie's attack damage by +1. |
Soul Jam: Light of Abundance | Yellow | {Y}{Y}{Y} Deals 1 damage to all opponent's cookies. You can also equip this card to your [Gold Cheese Cookie]. Increases the cookie's HP by +2. |
Soul Jam: Light of Freedom | Green | {G}{G}{G} - Take 1 card from your support area into your hand and place 1 card from the top of your deck in your support area as a rest. And you can equip this card to your [Saint Lily Cookie]. When that cookie attacks, activate up to one card in your support area. |
Soul Jam: Light of Truth | Blue | {B}{B}{B} - Look at the three cards from the top of your deck. Take up to 2 of them into your hand and place the remaining cards on top of the deck in the desired order. You can also equip this card to your [Pure Vanilla Cookie]. When that cookie attacks, draw 1 card from your deck. |
Soul Jam: Light of Determination | Purple | {P}{P}{P} - Select up to 2 of your opponent's cookies of LV.2 or lower. Place the HP of those cookies in the trash, one from the top. And you can equip this card to your [Dark Cacao Cookie]. The cookie will not be selected as the target of an opponent's effect and will not be discarded. |
Light of Passion
This Soul Jam deals two points of effect damage to the opponent. While not as potent as the three-point damage from Cherry Bomb, it can be effectively utilized when equipped on Hollyberry Cookie to further enhance its offensive capabilities.
Light of Abundance
This Soul Jam deals one point of damage to the opponent's cookies. However, its true strength lies in its ability to grant Golden Cheese Cookie an additional two hit points. Without the support of this Soul Jam, Golden Cheese Cookie's low health pool makes it highly vulnerable.
Light of Freedom
This Soul Jam functions similarly to the Rogue Fort cookie, allowing players to move one of their cookies from the break area to the support area. However, it requires an additional cost compared to Rogue Fort Cookie. Its primary use case is equipping it to White Lily Cookie to maximize its strategic flexibility.
Light of Truth
This Soul Jam enhances card draw capabilities when equipped to Pure Vanilla Cookie. It can help mitigate the inherent risks associated with discarding a card to gain an additional hit point.
Light of Resolution
This is arguably the most powerful Soul Jam in the game. When equipped to Dark Cacao Cookie, it grants immunity to most specified effects. This includes opponent's item effects, trap effects, cookie skill effects, and field effects that specifically target a single cookie. This makes Dark Cacao Cookie an incredibly difficult target to remove from the battlefield.
Upcoming Ancient Cookies
For the next CookieRun: Braverse TCG expansion, the developers have also implemented several enhancements to the overall card design. Skill names are now clearly displayed within the card text descriptions, providing players with immediate clarity. An icon has been introduced to visually signify attacks that deal three points of damage. As mentioned earlier, some cookies now feature category tags, such as "Ancient," which can have a significant impact on gameplay strategies.
Holly Berry Cookie
Hollyberry Cookie excels at damage reduction, reducing both attack and effect damage by three or more. This ability applies to final damage, making it exceptionally resilient. Hollyberry can also grant additional attack damage to another cookie, creating relentless pressure on opponents.
Golden Cheese Cookie
Golden Cheese Cookie’s unique skill allows it to return to the battle area with one HP upon fainting if one cost is paid. However, its low initial HP makes it vulnerable to effect damage. Pairing it with its corresponding Soul Jam, Light of Abundance, significantly enhances its survivability.
White Lily Cookie
White Lily Cookie boasts excellent control skills. It can add one HP at a cost and trash an active card from the opponent’s support area. While powerful, its effectiveness depends on timing and synergy with green decks, which typically prioritize growth early on.
Pure Vanilla Cookie
Pure Vanilla Cookie offers valuable support by allowing players to draw up to two cards. However, its low initial HP and the need to discard cards for extra HP limit its utility. Pairing it with the Soul Jam Light of Truth can help mitigate these drawbacks.
Dark Cacao Cookie
Dark Cacao Cookie is a very powerful card. Its skill can trash HP cards, negating flip effects and disabling opponents’ defensive strategies. When equipped with the Soul Jam Light of Determination, it becomes immune to specified effects, making it nearly unstoppable.
Special Stage Card: Age of Heroes and Kingdoms
Translation: {R}{Y}{G}{B}{P} - Place it on your stage area. Activate {R}{Y}{G}{B}{P} - If you have all 5 types of [Ancient] cards and 5 types of [Soul Jam] cards in your battle area and support area, you win this game. |
The introduction of the "Age of Heroes and Kingdoms" stage card brings a unique new winning condition to the Cookie Run: Brave TCG upcoming expansion. To achieve victory through this stage card, players must fulfill a challenging set of requirements.
You must place five different colors of ancient cookies and five different colors of Soul Jams on the battlefield or in the support area. Successfully completing this challenging task allows players to pay a cost of five colors and immediately win the game. This could be a meme card or an absolute broken card in the upcoming CookieRun: Braverse TCG expansion.

The upcoming English release of Series 3 and 4 in February 2025 will transform CookieRun: Braverse TCG. With new mechanics, powerful cookies, and strategic Soul Jams, players have plenty to look forward to.
