It is possible to transfer saved hunter and Palico character creation data from Open Beta Test 1 and Open Beta Test 2 to the full version of the game. Please note:
- Character data is stored on the server, so you'll need to be online to transfer your character to the full version.
- If you played in both OBTs, data from OBT2 will be carried over.
- Design codes differ in from the OBT to the full game, so please be aware if you're attempting to recreate a character using design codes.

How to Transfer
During hunter and Palico character creation, open the Design menu and select Beta Test Data to transfer your data.
- An internet connection is required to transfer your data.
- If you save finalize your character creations without transferring your beta test character creation data, you will only have the option to transfer beta test character creation data if you use a Character Edit Voucher or Palico Edit Voucher.
- You will be unable to transfer your beta test character creation data if you do not have all game data fully installed when using download-as-you-play services such as PlayGo on the PlayStation 5 or Streaming Installation on the Xbox Series X|S.
Please fully download and install the game before attempting to transfer beta test character creation data. - Beta test character creation data was saved when the beta tests ended, and you can choose to use that data when editing your characters in the full version of the game.
- Only beta test character creation data can be transferred. No other data is transferable.
- Certain designs or unforeseen issues may cause beta test character creation data to become untransferable to the full version of the game.
- Beta test character creation data design codes and other elements from the beta will differ in the full version of the game.
- For those who participated in both OBT 1 and OBT 2, character designs saved at the end of OBT 2 will be used for transfers to the full version of the game.
