Open Beta Patch Notes 0.1.9: March 19, 2025

The first update since the release of Open Beta, The Bazaar makes some major updates to the balance of the game! For our review, check out our dedicated article:

GENERAL UPDATES

  • Regeneration
    • Regeneration can now Crit.
    • Effects that grant Crit should now affect items with Regeneration active outputs.
  • Tiny Furry Creature
    • No longer spawns on Hour 2 of Day 1.
  • BazaarCON
    • Artist Alley option no longer costs Gold.
  • Prize Pass
    • Increased Prize Pass XP earning rate for Days to 3 XP per Day. (from 1 XP per Day)
    • Added Wins-Based Bonus Prize Pass XP: 5 XP at 4 wins, 5 XP at 7 wins, 5 XP at 10 wins.
  • Start of Run
    • Income/Gold start now starts with 1 less income.
    • Enchanted start can no longer spawn Golden.

NEW CONTENT

  • Valpak
    • A merchant that buys your Bronze-tier items for additional gold

VANESSA UPDATES

  • Holsters
    • Gains the Apparel type
  • Ice Pick
    • Freeze an item for 1 second. (from Freeze a small item for [1/2/3] seconds)
  • Iceberg
    • Starts at Gold-tier
    • When your enemy uses an item, Freeze it for [--/--/0.5/1] second(s). (from [1])
    • Shiny Iceberg is now “This has double Freeze duration”
    • Deadly Iceberg is now “Enemy items have -100% Crit Chance.”
  • Nesting Doll
    • Cooldown 2 (from 3)
  • Star Chart
    • Fixed a bug where Shiny Star Chart provided far more cooldown reduction than it should
  • Tropical Island
    • When you Slow, gain [5/10] Regeneration for the fight (from [2/4])
  • Zoarcid
    • Fixed an issue where this was not charging with Skill-based Burn

PYGMALIEN UPDATES

  • Billboard (Redesigned)
    • Cooldown 7 seconds
    • Shield [--/--/200/300]
    • When you Shield or Heal, give your items +[--/--/1/2] value for the fight.
    • This item's cooldown is reduced by 1% for every value it has.
  • Bushel
    • Gains the Food type
  • Cargo Shorts (Redesigned)
    • Cooldown 7 seconds
    • Heal [20/30/40/50]
    • Shield [20/30/40/50]
    • This has the Types of items you have in your Stash
    • Your Apparel items have -5% cooldown for each type this has.
  • Hatchet
    • When you buy this, get a Spare Change and a Truffle. (from When you buy this, get a Spare Change)
  • Hogwash
    • When you Heal, gain [--/50/100/150] Max Health for the fight. (from [10/20/40])
  • Open Sign
    • Fixed an issue where Deadly Open Sign only gave Crit Chance to Weapons
  • Signet Ring
    • Gains the Apparel type
  • Snow Globe
    • Freeze 1 item for [--/1/1.5/2] second(s) (from Freeze medium or small for 1/2/3 seconds)
  • Vending Machine
    • At the start of each day, get a Chocolate Bar, Spare Change, and Truffle. (from 3 Chocolate Bars or Spare Change)

DOOLEY UPDATES

  • Bomb Squad
    • Fixed an issue where this did not count as a Haste item
  • Charging Station
    • Fixed an issue where the damage buff was triggering for opponents' Cores as well
  • Companion Core (Deadly)
    • Fixed an issue where Friends would not gain +Crit.
  • DJ Rob0t
    • Cooldown [10/9/8] seconds (from [10])
    • Haste your Friends for 2 seconds. (from [1/2/3] seconds)
    • When you buy this, get 3 Nanobots. (no change)
    • When you use another Friend, charge this 1 second. (new effect)
  • Rocket Launcher
    • Fiery Rocket Launcher is now “This has double Burn.”
  • Thermal Lance
    • Gains the Tool type
    • Cooldown 5s (from 8s)
    • Burn 5 (from [2/4/6])
    • When this gains Haste, this gains +[5/10/15] Burn for the fight (from [2/4/6])
  • Uzi
    • Cooldown 2s (from 3s)

ITEM UPDATES

  • Arken's Ring
    • Gains the Apparel type
  • Candy Mail
    • Cooldown 4 (from 5)
  • Dragon Heart
    • Fixed a bug where it was charging off non-Burn items instead of Burn items
  • Dragon Wing
    • Fixed an issue where this was not charging with Skill-based Burn
  • Epicurean Chocolate
    • Cooldown 4 (from 5)
  • Flamethrower
    • Now has its own effects
  • Improvised Bludgeon
    • When you sell this item, your leftmost item gains +1 Slow (from [1/2/3/4])
  • Nanobots
    • Now starts at Silver-tier
    • Deal [15/20/25] damage for each Friend you have (from [5/10/30/50] for each Small Friend)
    • This item's cooldown is reduced by 1 second for each adjacent Friend.
  • Sapphire
    • Freeze [--/1/2/3] item(s) for 1 second. (From Freeze 1 small item for [--/1/2/3] second(s).)
    • Your other Freeze items have +0.5 Freeze duration (from +1)
  • Soul Ring
    • Gains the Apparel type
  • Super Syrup
    • Cooldown 4 (from 5)
  • Thurible
    • Cooldown 6 (from 9)

SKILL UPDATES

  • Artillery Spotter
    • Now starts at Bronze-tier
    • If you have 5 or fewer items, your items have +[10/20/30/40]% Crit Chance. (From [--/5/10/20]%.)
  • Augmented Defenses and Augmented Weaponry
    • Now starts at Gold-tier at [--/--/1/2] instead of [1/2/3/4] Shield and Damage respectively
  • Combat Medic
    • Now starts at Silver-tier
    • When you Heal or gain Regeneration, an item gains +[--/3/6/9]% Crit Chance for the fight. (From When you Heal, an item gains [--/--/3/5]% crit chance for the fight.)
  • Conflagration
    • Now starts at Silver-tier
    • When you use a Burn item, that item gains [--/1/2/3] Burn for the fight. (From [--/--/1/2].)
  • Creeping Chill
    • Freeze duration reduced to [--2/3/4] (From [--/3/4/5].)
  • Coolant Leak
    • The first [-/3/6/9] times you use your rightmost item each fight, charge 1 Freeze item 1 second. (From The first [--/2/4/6] times you use your rightmost item each fight, freeze 1 item for 1 second.)
  • Defense Grid
    • The first time you use an item each fight, Shield equal to [10/20/35/50]% of your max health. (From At the start of each fight.)
  • Frostfire
    • Freeze duration reduced to [--2/3/4] (From [--/3/4/5].)
  • Frozen Shot
    • Your Weapons' cooldowns are reduced by [5/10/15]% while your enemy has a Frozen item. (From The first [-/-/4/8] times you use your slowest weapon each fight, freeze 1 item of equal or smaller size item for 1 second.)
  • Hardly Workin'
    • Now starts at Silver-tier
    • The first [--/5/10/15] times you Slow each fight, charge 1 Regeneration item 1 second. (From When you Slow, gain +[--/--/2/4] Regeneration for the fight.)
  • Invigorating Cold
    • Fixed an issue where it was only targeting the leftmost item
  • Lethargy
    • Now starts at Silver-tier
    • All item cooldowns are increased by [--/1/2/3] seconds. (From [--/--/30/50]%.)
  • Neophiliac
    • Charge amount reduced to [--/--/2/3]. (From [--/--/2/4].)
  • Oceanic Rush
    • The first time you use an item each fight, Haste [--/1/2/3] Aquatic items for 2 seconds. (From At the start of each fight.)
  • Paralytic Poison
    • Freeze duration reduced to [--2/3/4] (From [--/3/4/5].)
  • Quick Ignition
    • Now starts at Silver-tier
    • The first time you use an item each fight, Haste [--/1/2/3] Burn items for 2 seconds. (From At the start of each fight, Haste [--/--/2/3] Burn items for 2 seconds.)
  • Reaching The Summit
    • Crit Chance bonus increased to [--/--/3/6]% (From [--/--/2/4]%.)
    • Fixed an issue where this didn't count as Crit Skill.
  • Retaliatory Toxins Redesigned
    • Now starts at Gold-tier
    • When your enemy uses an item, Poison [--/--/1/2].
  • Righty Tighty
    • Now starts at Silver-tier
    • The first [--/2/4/6] times you use your rightmost item each fight, charge 1 Slow item 1 second. (From The first [--/--/5/10] times you use your rightmost item each fight, Slow 1 item for 1 second(s).)
  • Slow and Steady
    • Now starts at Silver-tier
    • When you Slow, give your weapons +[--/2/4/6] damage for the fight. (From [--/--/3/6].)
  • Static Acceleration
    • Now starts at Silver-tier
    • When you Haste, your items gain +[--/1/2/3]% Crit Chance for the fight. (From [--/--/1/2]%.)
  • Steelstorm New
    • Starts at Silver-tier
    • Your Weapons have +[--/4/8/12] damage for each Weapon you have.
  • Temporal Strike
    • If you have exactly one Weapon, its cooldown is reduced by [--/5/10/15]% while your enemy has a Slowed item. (From If you have exactly one weapon, the first [--/3/6/9] times you use it each fight, Slow 1 item for 2 seconds.)
  • Trader
    • Your items have +[--/--/1/2] value. (From the start of each day, give your items +[--/--/1/2] value.)
  • Toxin Injector
    • Now starts at Silver-tier
    • The first time you use an item each fight, Haste [--/1/2/3] of your Poison items for 2 seconds. (From At the start of each fight, Haste [--/--/2/3] Poison items for 2 seconds.)

ENCOUNTER UPDATES

  • Property Baron
    • Has Big Numbers (Skill) instead of Combat Medic (Skill)
