Dev Note #11.5

Greetings, Regulars.

This is <Tower of God: New World> PD, Eonsan Jeong.

We would like to inform you about some improvements following the feedback we received after the June 5th update.

First of all, the Revolution system has common stats assigned to nodes based on the character's role except for the 6th Tier main nodes. It was designed in this way to provide effects that can benefit the characteristics of each role while mitigating complexity instead of overly individualizing each character.

However, an additional stat that increases 'Special Move Pierce' is granted for the 6th Tier bonus nodes for the Supporter role. In cases like Evan and Gustang, who do not deal damage to enemies with their Special Moves, there is no benefit from node expansion, leading to feedback that this is unreasonable. Since there are benefits according to the Revolution Tier just like the Revolution Room, we plan to change this stat to one that can benefit all characters. As an additional benefit based on roles, we plan to change it to the most suitable one, which is 'Special Move Resistance', to enhance survivability.

Next, we will address the feedback on the improvements to the SSR character boost missions.

Since the opening of Ha Jinsung Boost Missions, we've shifted our direction of mission setup from Limit Breaking Tiers to benefits granted based on the number of Summon attempts. However, in the case of regular Summons or Black Market Summons, while there is a guaranteed acquisition system, Limit Breaking Tiers based on the number of attempts inevitably leads to some individual differences due to probability rates. To address this issue, we've introduced benefits based on the number of Summon attempts, which guarantees the acquisition of new characters, thereby enhancing the sense of the pick-up system.

However, some Regulars pointed out several key issues, such as the rapid Limit Break cases utilizing existing SSR Selection Chests in possession, the exclusion of Hot Deal Summons from Teammate Summon counts, and the absence of SSR Selection Chests as major rewards.

We apologize for not considering a more comprehensive range of cases and for not setting up the details in a more delicate manner due to proceeding with a generalized perspective. For this reason, we will make short-term improvements to the current Vivi boost missions as follows:

  •  - An additional SSR Selection Chest will be allocated as a reward for achieving 700 Teammate Summons. (This will be sent separately via in-game mail to Regulars who have already received rewards. Further details will be announced through a patch notice.)
  •  - As an apology for any confusion caused, we distributed a coupon that contains 50 Normal Summon Tickets.

Subsequently, for future SSR grade boost missions, we will transition back to the method of providing guaranteed characters based on Limit Break Tiers as was done previously.

For SSR+ grade missions, we will further review which option would provide more benefits to Regulars: missions counted based on the number of Black Market Summon attempts and Limit Breaking Tiers.

If necessary, adjustments will be made for improvement. Currently,  the reward structure based on the number of attempts in the Black Market seems more favorable for the SSR+ grade, considering the previous Ha Jinsung campaign event. For this matter, feel free to provide additional feedback through comments on this announcement, and we will actively take it into account during our review process.

Moreover, we apologize for the inconvenience caused by the continuously appearing red dot notification in the Regular Shop, which many of you have inquired about. This issue cannot be resolved with a CDN patch and requires an app update. Therefore, it will be addressed in the regular update scheduled for June 19th.

Additionally, regarding the currency balance, we aim to maintain liquidity by not adhering strictly to the previous/same patterns but considering the volume distributed during operational cycles. We will strive to adjust the final balance by taking various cases into account.

We've primarily covered the main issues you addressed along with our responses. We are preparing to implement changes related to Revolution and Vivi Boost Missions promptly, possibly by today. Detailed information will be provided through the upcoming patch notice.

Thank you.
