Gameplay Tutorial
While competing in the Boulder Town Martial Exhibition, players can now freely choose the buffs they receive each round, instead of having fixed ones.
In the Boulder Town Super League, Trailblazers can challenge different tournaments to win the corresponding tournament rewards.
After choosing to participate in the tournament, the opponent lineup will be determined in a random drawing, and different buffs can be obtained by defeating different opponents. After random selection begins, your team lineup will be locked. All characters HP and Energy will be reset at the start of every battle. Equilibrium Level will influence enemy strength in the event.
Writer's note: I am at Trailblaze Level 70 (Equilibrium Level 6) and after multiple trials at the same stage, I face the exact same enemies and buff, so I'm assuming the 'random drawing and opponents' means players in different Equilibrium Level face different enemies and buffs.

Form of Firmness
Trial Argenti and Luka are surprisingly a good duo for this stage and they are more than enough. All that's left is a buffer/debuffer and a healer/shielder. I don't have Bronya so Tingyun is the best replacement for her (which in my opinion is better than Bronya because she can provide Energy to Argenti- but if you have both of them, even better!). For the healer, you can add anyone you have or just add Bronya + Tingyun duo.
All the buffs I chose for this challenge:
- Martialism: Firmness - Extra damage when Physical DMG deals Weakness Break
- Blackhole Throw - Fully regenerate Energy 100% when ally deals Weakness Break
- Road Roller Throw - Physical attacks have higher Weakness Break Efficiency
The best part about picking all the buffs above is Argenti and Luka have a higher chance to spam their Ultimate since every time they inflict a Weakness Break, they can get 100% of their Max Energy (This is especially delicious for Argenti since his full Ultimate requires lots of Energy).
Form of Solidity
Jingliu and Pela are a must and I don't even have to say why, just look at their roles and elements. Next, add 2 Harmony characters to even further buff your Jingliu - Bronya and Tingyun are the best duo. If you have a problem with survivability, exchange one Harmony character with a healer/shielder.
All the buffs I chose for this challenge:
- Martialism: Solidity - Attack against Frozen enemies has increased damage
- Knee Bar - When an enemy gets an Ice Weakness Break, enemies adjacent to it will also get the same Weakness Break
- Rear Naked Choke - Fully regenerate Energy 100% when an ally attacks a Frozen enemy
For the Knee Bar and Rear Naked Choke, you have to play around and be smart with it so your Jingliu can spam her Ultimate attacks (You can see my video below). Use Pela and Jingliu to Ice Weakness Break enemies, then make sure Jingliu attacks Frozen enemies one by one (or at least the last enemies in the line to not make every enemy unFrozen at once). Remember that attacking one Frozen enemy can fully regenerate her Ultimate!
Form of Heat
Since all enemies are weak to Fire, Guinaifen and Asta are a great duo with the former that can Burn enemies and the latter that can buff the team. The first thing that comes to my mind when seeing Guinaifen would be the DoT Team so I added Kafka and Sampo to the team and they work perfectly.
All the buffs I chose for this challenge:
- Martialism: Heat - Enemy gain a debuff (more Fire DMG) if characters hit an enemy with Weakness Broken + Burn debuff on them
- Looping Cross - Enemy that got Fire Weakness Break, all enemies will also be afflicted with said Weakness Break
- Hook - Enemy gets double the debuff from Martialism: Heat
For the second buff, I highly recommend getting the Looping Cross (instant Weakness Break for other enemies) instead of Cross (Fire Weakness Break Efficiency increased) because the Spinning Back Fist debuff enemies get from Martialism Heat and Hook is only available when they are in Weakness Break state. That's why Looping Cross is better than Cross.
Form of Flow
Now that they've given us Kafka and Sampo, clearly, it's for the DoT team (just like the previous team lol). This time, Sampo plays the important role of inflicting DoT on enemies so they can get a stack of Continuous Hook Kick debuff (takes Wind DMG at the start of each turn) while Kafka triggers the DoT and makes them take even more DoT damage. I would add Luka for the complete DoT team (stacking the stage debuff much easier) but my Luka isn't built so Tingyun it is!
All the buffs I chose for this challenge:
- Martialism: Flow = Enemy gains Continuous Hook Kick debuff when they receive DoT
- Jumping Side Kick = Ally gains Energy when an enemy is defeated. The more Continuous Hook Kick the defeated enemy has, the more Energy you will get
- Hook Kick = Enemies have an initial 5 stacks of Continuous Hook Kick on them
The second buff is the most important one because it will restore Energy to the team (you will get more Energy if the defeated enemies have tons of Continuous Hook Kick debuffs), which you definitely want to spam Ultimate from both Sampo and Kafka. Just like in my video below, I didn't expect to get 3 cycles only (at most 4 cycles), but the death of the Aurumaton restores 2 of my UItimate and ends the battle faster than expected.
Form of Gust
Unless your Seele and Silver Wolf have higher SPD than the Trial characters, it's better if you bring the Trial characters because they have really high SPD. If you bring other characters outside of Quantum, pay attention to their attacks and don't let them Weakness Break the enemies or you won't get the Entanglement + buff effects from the stage (just retreat and restart that specific round).
All the buffs I chose for this challenge:
- Martialism: Gust = Attacking enemies with Entanglement to take effect with increased damage
- Dripping Mucus = Using Ultimate against enemies with Entanglement will increase 6 stacks (max 10 stacks)
- Black Gall Waves = Delay enemy's action if you Break Weakness them
The buffs for today's stage aren't that good in my opinion, especially the last one (in terms of damage). If you bring characters that can hit enemies with their Ultimate, select the second buff where Ultimate increases the Entanglement stack (like Fu Xuan, Pela, etc). If you bring Harmony characters (which usually buff allies with Ultimate), choose the Skill one.
Form of Heart
With DHIL as the main DPS, you need to be careful about which buffer you want to bring. The Trial DHIL has pretty high DPS (145 SPD) so you want your Harmony characters to have even higher SPD to buff him before his moves. In addition, put DHIL and your Harmony in the middle so they have a high chance of being attacked by enemies' Blast attacks thus regenerating their Energy.
All the buffs I chose for this challenge:
- Martialism: Heart = Attacking Imprisoned enemies will regenerate some of their Max Toughness (sounds like a bad thing but it's actually to make them get easily Weakness Broken again)
- Permit Not Hatred Tarnish Thy Will = Enemies with Imprisonment will receive 200% more Ultimate DMG, can be stacked 6 times
- Expose Not Anger in Action = Using Imaginary-Type Ultimate on enemies instantly Weakness Break them and the one using it will regenerate 30% of their Energy
For the second buffs, you should choose the second buff I select (Permit Not Hatred....) ONLY if you have at least 3 characters with Ultimate that can hit enemies. If you bring 2 Harmony characters that use Ultimate on allies instead of enemies, it's better to choose the other buff (Let Not Sorrow...). For the third buff, yes, I recommend the buff (Expose Not Anger...) because there's an Energy Regeneration effect there and you should always choose that kind of effect.
Form of Thunder
I don't know how to use Arlan so I brought another Lightning DPS (Kafka) to take advantage of that sweet Frontal Palm 100% Energy buff. Arlan can be used to reduce Lightning Weakness though (his Skill doesn't use Skill Points after all) and let JY or Kafka to Weakness Break them and get that free Energy.
All the buffs I chose for this challenge:
- Martialism: Thunder = When using Lightning-Type Ultimates on enemies, they will gain 1 Thunderous Slaps debuff
- Frontal Palm = Characters gain 100% Energy when they Weakness Break enemies
- Duo Palm Ear Strike = When enemies receive Thunderous Slap, they gain an extra 3 stacks of them
It's the most fun when that stage gives you free Energy. In this battle, let Tingyun and Arlan reduce the enemies' Toughness, but let either Kafka or Jing Yuan deal with the Weakness Break so they can gain free Energy and spam them.
