Honkai: Star Rail Fugue Character Guide

Introduction

Fugue is a support character that allows one ally to reduce enemies' Toughness regardless of Weakness Type. She also causes all allies to trigger Break or Super Break DMG more frequently.

Skills Overview

Basic Attack & Enhanced Basic ATK

Basic Attack - Radiant Streak

Deals Fire DMG equal to 50%—110% of Fugue's ATK to one designated enemy.

Basic Attack - Fiery Caress

Deals Fire DMG equal to 50%—110% of Fugue's ATK to one designated enemy and Fire DMG equal to 25%—55% of Fugue's ATK to adjacent targets.

Skill - Fiery Caress

Grants one designated ally "Foxian Prayer". Enters the "Torrid Scorch" state, lasting for 3 turn(s). The duration reduces by 1 at the start of Fugue's every turn. "Foxian Prayer" only takes effect on the most recent target of Fugue's Skill.

The ally target with "Foxian Prayer" increases their Break Effect by 15%—33% and can also reduce Toughness even when attacking enemies that don't have the corresponding Weakness Type, with the effect equivalent to 50% of the original Toughness Reduction value. This cannot stack with other Toughness Reduction effects that also ignore Weakness Type.
While in the "Torrid Scorch" state, Fugue enhances her Basic ATK. Every time an ally target with "Foxian Prayer" attacks, Fugue has a 100% base chance to reduce the attacked enemy target's DEF by 8%—20%, lasting for 2 turn(s).

Ultimate - Solar Splendor Shines Upon All

Deals Fire DMG equal to 100%—220% of Fugue's ATK to all enemies. This attack ignores Weakness Type to reduce all enemies' Toughness. And when breaking Weakness, triggers the Fire Weakness Break effect.

Talent - Fortune Follows Where Virtue Spreads

While Fugue is on the field, enemy targets will get additionally afflicted with "Cloudflame Luster," equal to 40% of their Max Toughness.
When the initial Toughness is reduced to 0, "Cloudflame Luster" can further be reduced. When "Cloudflame Luster" is reduced to 0, the enemy will receive Weakness Break DMG again.

While Fugue is on the field and after allies attack Weakness Broken enemy targets, converts the Toughness Reduction of this attack into 1 instance of 50%—110% Super Break DMG.

Technique - Percipient Shine

After using Technique, inflicts Daze on enemies within a certain area, lasting for 10 second(s). While Dazed, enemies will not actively attack ally targets.
After entering battle via actively attacking Dazed enemies, Fugue's action advances by 40%, with a 100% base chance to inflict each enemy target with the same DEF Reduction state as that applied by Fugue's Skill, lasting for 2 turn(s).

Ascension 2 - Verdantia Renaissance

After ally targets break weakness, additionally delays the action of the enemy target by 15%.

Ascension 4 - Sylvan Enigma

Increases this unit's Break Effect by 30%. After using Skill for the first time, immediately recovers 1 Skill Point(s).

Ascension 6 - Phecda Primordia

When an enemy target's Weakness gets broken, increases teammates' (i.e., excluding this unit) Break Effect by 6%. If Fugue's Break Effect is 220% or higher, the Break Effect increase is boosted by an additional 12%, lasting for 2 turn(s). This effect can stack up to 2 time(s).

TLDR

You think Harmony MC is a great Break Support? Well, HoYoverse decide to make an even better version of them and name the unit Fugue (aka brand new Tingyun). She's very easy to use as you only need to use her Skill to your Break DPS. And use Ultimate whenever.

First of all, her Basic ATK and Enhanced Basic ATK. The Basic ATK is the normal attack and to get the enhanced version, you need to use Skill on an ally so Fugue enters the Torrid Scorch.
The Enhanced Basic ATK is also not useful in term of damage unless the enemies' are in Weakness Break state.

Ultimate ignores Weakness Type and deplete all Toughness Bar

Her Ultimate is also not a big deal unless you have her E2 or using it when the enemies are in Weakness Break state (only then would it do considerable damage). But using the Ultimate when the enemies have their Toughness Bar is also okay since Fugue's Ultimate ignores Weakness Types.

Now for the cream of the crop for Fugue, her Skill. As mentioned before, using her Skill on an ally so Fugue enters the Torrid Scorch state for 3 turns.

For the ally that got inflicted with the Skill, they will get Foxian Prayer buff.
This buff increases their Break Effect and make it so their attacks will reduce Toughness even against enemies that don't have the corresponding Weakness Type.

The ally with Foxian Prayer has the chance to reduce enemies' DEF.

See the pink color in the Toughness Bar? That's the Cloudflame Luster

Last but not least, Fugue's Talent. It is as important as her Skill because:
(1) Permanent 100% Super Break multiplier to all allies.
(2) By being on the field, Fugue inflict Cloudflame Luster to enemies that allows allies to Weakness break an enemy a second time.
Example: Once you Weakness Break the enemies by Toughness bar, the enemies will enter Weakness Broken state with the Cloudflame Luster effect (pink Toughness bar like in the image above). You can reduce the Cloudflame Luster bar - it's like a weaker version of Toughness bar - to Weakness Break the enemies once again!

This also counts for Himeko's Talent when an enemy is inflicted with Weakness Break, she will gains 1 point of Charge.
Reduce Toughness Bar to Weakness Break it once: 1 point of Charge
Reduce Cloudflame Luster bar to Weakness Break it once more: 1 point of Charge
