Banner Guide – Medical Club Teresse (rerun)

+5 with full potential upgrades

Official Patch Notes

Overview

Highest M.ATK buff to date (overtaking B.Helena)

Strong ATK buff that is comparable to H.Lathel

Teresse has excellent tank stats with high base HP (synergizes will with her heal)

Teresse has an excellent costume kit: Beach Angel also buffs damage, and Angel of Destruction knocks back and charges SP

Limited buff range that does not reach the whole field

Buff lasts 4 turns, but cooldown is 5 turns, leaving you with a gap

Relatively high SP cost for a buffer

HP recovery is based on her current HP, so she does not heal well if damaged

Teresse for PVE

MC.Teresse at +5 and full potential is an excellent ATK/M.ATK buffer who can almost go toe to toe with B.Helena and H.Lathel. Her biggest drawback is that her skill can only be applied every 2 out of 3 player turns, so you are always left with a gap turn with no buff. A quick comparison is shown below.

Turn 1Turn 2Turn 3
MC.Teresse (ATK/M.ATK)120%120%0%
H.Lathel (ATK)160%70%70%
B.Helena (M.ATK)115%115%115%

Compared to H.Lathel, MC.Teresse has comparable performance with H.Lathel on 2 turn battles, but performs worse on 1 turn or 3 turn+ battles.

Compared to B.Helena, MC.Teresse gives 5% more M.ATK on the first two turns, but runs out of steam on the third turn. MC.Teresse also misses out on Helena's crit buff, and is not as reliable for healing as Helena.

Teresse also suffers from a limited range, which limits your team's placement options (especially if you have not unlocked her range potential).

Even so, Teresse is a recommended investment for a number of reasons.

Firstly, you get an ATK buffer and M.ATK buffer in one, so she's good value for investment.

Secondly, multiple buffers are needed for multiple teams fiend hunts. This alone makes Teresse very useful to have in your roster.

Thirdly, MC.Teresse can be used in conjunction with BA.Teresse (limited), who gives a very strong damage amplification buff against enemies with 5 chain stacks or less. When Teresse uses those two buffs together, she has the potential to outclass both Lathel and Helena (who each only have one offensive buff costume).

PVE game modes

Teresse is great for all PVE modes, but especially fiend hunts where multiple buffers are required for multiple teams.

In Tower of Pride, having Teresse is very useful for the water team level, as she is the only water element buffer at the moment.

MC.Teresse is also very good for Tower of Salvation because she can be used together with BA.Teresse.

Teresse for PVP

Teresse actually has great stats for PVP, because she has very high base HP and serves as an effective pseudo-tank.

Unfortunately, MC.Teresse suffers from a heavy SP cost that makes her difficult to play in PVP. H.Lathel and B.Helena all cost 1 SP (at full potential), whereas MC.Teresse costs 3 SP. That's too big of an investment for a skill that does no damage.

Although Teresse as a character is finding play in high ranking PVP, she is mainly being used for her other costumes, BA.Teresse and AOD.Teresse (which have low SP cost). MC.Teresse can be used as a "slot 3" costume while her other two skills cool down, but it would be fairly rare for MC.Teresse to have an impact on the battle outcome.

Conclusion

MC.Teresse is a strong buffer who has comparable headline damage with B.Helena and H.Lathel. Although she is strong, her high cost and limited duration (with a cooldown gap) makes her less than ideal for longer battles.

For players that don't have B.Helena or H.Lathel, MC.Teresse can serve as a reasonably good substitute.

For players that already have maxed B.Helena and H.Lathel, the main reasons to invest in Teresse are A) for high level fiend hunts, and B) for synergy with BA.Teresse, if you have her.
