- How to obtain Tower of Fantasy Zero
A computer whiz but instead of the outgoing hacking specialists you’ve seen before, this one is different. Maybe with the attitude of a rock pillar. In Tower of Fantasy, that’s Zero.
No one knows who Zero truly is – as his real identity has long been destroyed in the databases, and he did that all by himself. He appears to be a young boy who’s aloof and prideful, yet smart and very competitive. A computer genius with an unknown background who tends to dismiss anything he deems as meaningless and trivial.
Let us now take a look on how he fares up in this Tower of Fantasy Zero Build Guide. From his weapon, attacks and skills, advancement and awakening, best team compositions, down to his upgrade materials and gifts, and how to obtain this powerful unit. If your plan is to be a Zero main and would like to know if he is worth investing for, then this guide is for you.
Who is Tower of Fantasy Zero?
Zero is an SSR Simulacrum whose main role as a Support doesn’t really outshine the likes of Nemesis and Cocoritter who both happen to be great healers, while Zero is more of a shielder than a designated healer. And yes, he’s still viable on its own. He is considered an A Tier unit who wields a floating Flame cube, one he calls Negating Cube, whose main assets lie on its capabilities of providing shields and buffs.
Negating Cube
Negating Cube, a shield-providing floating cube that specializes in, well, powerful shields that can deal damage and launch its enemies, is Zero's weapon of choice. This is no doubt Zero’s greatest strength, and it’s all thanks to his weapon.
Shatter means the ability to break enemy shields. Zero does that terribly with only a shatter value of 5, which clearly indicates that he’s not suited for such a role, while Charge means the rate at how quickly he can gain those weapon charges.
Listed down below are the base stats of his weapon without the upgrades from equipped matrices, nor leveling it up yet.
Tower of Fantasy Zero Skills
Now we’re off to learning more about his combat skills and attacks in this Tower of Fantasy Zero Build Guide. It’s important to take note that, down below, is Negating Cube’s base stats at level one. As you level up the weapon, the damages and buffs it should provide for you will be having an increase as well.
Normal Attacks
Normal Attack
While on the ground, manipulate the cube to attack 5 times in a row. First Attack: Deal a total damage equal to 46.7% of ATK + 2. Second Attack: Deal total damage equal to 38.2% of ATK + 2. Third Attack: Deal total damage equal to 118.5% of ATK +6. Fourth Attack: Deal total damage equal to 79.6% of ATK + 4. Fifth Attack: Deal total damage equal to 80.9% of ATK + 4 up to 3 times and and launch the target. Passive: If normal attacks hit targets 6 times, gain 1 cube. Up to 5 cubes can be stored. |
Omnium Missile
While airborne, tap normal attack to activate the energy within the cube, firing up to 5 missiles and dealing total damage equal to 59.3% of ATK + 3. Consume up to 250 endurance. Passive: If the Wanderer has any stored cubes, consume all cubes to fire Omnium Missiles at targets to deal damage. |
Energy Overflow
While airborne or after jumping once, tap normal attack to trigger Energy Overflow. Upon landing, fire a shockwave that travels forward, dealing up to 23.4% of ATK + 1 damage to targets in its path. |
Omnium Shock
On the third normal attack, hold the normal attack button to trigger Omnium Shock. A pillar of energy launches nearby targets into the air, dealing damage equal to 68.4% of ATK + 4. The pillar lasts 5 seconds and deals damage equal to 28.5% of ATK + 2 to nearby targets every second. |
Energy Sentinel
Cubes orbiting the Wanderer deal damage equal to 9.7% of ATK + 1 to enemies. |
Energy Missile
When the Wanderer casts Omnium Missiles and Energy Overflow, their orbiting cubes are fired as well, dealing damage equal to 48.5% of ATK + 3 to the target. |
Dodge Attacks
Soul Surge
Dodge right before getting hit to trigger a Phantasia, which reduces speed of enemies within range and grants hitstun immunity for 0.5 seconds. If the Wanderer has less than 5 cubes, each successful dodge has a 40% chance to restore 1 dodge attempt. Successful dodges do not interrupt normal attack combos. Passive: Gain a cube for every successful aerial dodge. |
Skill
Omnium Shield
Create shielding for self and nearby allies to block up to 800% of ATK in damage for 10 seconds, and deal 142.9% of ATK + 8 damage to nearby targets and launch them. Each cube in possession when this skill is used adds 160% of ATK to max shielding and exhaust the cube. Cooldown: 60 seconds. |
Discharge Skill
Omnium Wave
When weapon charge is full or Phantasia is triggered, remove all debuffs from the wielder and gain 5 cubes upon switching to this weapon, then unleash the 5 cubes along with a Shockwave. This Shockwave deals damage equal to 171% of ATK + 9 to nearby targets, and launches them into the air. Each cube also deals damage equal to 48.5% of ATK + 3. If allies are in the vicinity, they gain damage immunity for 3 seconds. |
Tower of Fantasy Zero Advancement
If by any chance you’ve managed to obtain more than one copy of a Simulacra and you’ve got around to using their corresponding fusion cores, then that’s what you call Advancement. There are currently two ways – acquiring the character again via means of gacha pulling or purchasing them via the Commissary’s weapon store that is worth 120 black gold. Here in this Tower of Fantasy Zero Build Guide are each of the computer whiz’s special bonuses once you’re able to unlock his Advancement stars.
Level 1 | Deal damage and produce a healing orb, which lasts for 20 seconds and restore HP of any teammate who picks it up equal to 60% of ATK. 2-second cooldown. |
Level 2 | Increase the current weapon's base ATK growth by 16%. |
Level 3 | Reduce skill cooldown from 60 seconds to 30 seconds. Restore HP equal to 30% of ATK every second while the shield is active. |
Level 4 | Increase the current weapon's base HP growth by 32%. |
Level 5 | Damaging a target also produces a damage orb, which lasts for 20 seconds and increases all damage and healing of any teammate who picks it up by 2% for 30 seconds. Stack up to 10 times. Skill cooldown is 2.5 seconds. |
Level 6 | Using an ability grants allies healing orbs and damage orbs equal to the number of Omnium Cubes. |
Tower of Fantasy Zero Awakening Traits and Rewards
Awakening system can be unlocked once you’ve reached Level 18 in the game. These are the traits that can be unlocked when you’ve improved your relationship with the Simulacra. In other terms, these are like “passive skills” that are direct buffs for the said character, using the Awakening points accumulated along the way. In this Tower of Fantasy Zero Build Guide, these are two of the computer whiz’s most valuable Awakening traits – while the rest are things like an avatar and additional lore content.
Accurate Calculation
1200 Awakening | When Zero uses a weapon skill, reduce cooldown time for Relics in cooldown by 1.5 seconds. Can only activate for the same weapon 1 time every 5 seconds. |
Overall Planning
4000 Awakening | When Zero uses a weapon skill, reduce cooldown time for Relics in cooldown by 3 seconds. Can only activate for the same weapon 1 time every 5 seconds. |

Tower of Fantasy Zero Best Matrices
Matrices system in Tower of Fantasy are similar to that of Artifacts in Genshin Impact. These items basically act like the backbone to your character’s performance in-game because of the direct stat buffs and set bonuses they can offer. It can be a game-changer when equipped to a weapon accordingly, and make your gameplay experience much better as you go on.
For Zero, here are his best matrices in the game currently. He has his own set tailored around his kit which further solidifies his role as a Support by making these shields even stronger and, while active, can buff the whole party’s damage.
It’s important to take note that while Zero is no designated healer, his first Advancement provides a healing orb that can restore HP when picked up. It’s even better when you reach his third Advancement because while the shield is active, there’s continuous healing. This is when Cocoritter’s set should take place.
Matrix | Effects |
4-set Zero | [2] Upon using a discharge skill to switch to the current weapon, gain a shield equal to 120%/150%/180%/210% of ATK for 4 seconds. [4] While the shield is active, you and your teammates deal 16%/20%/24%/28% more damage. |
4-set Cocoritter | [2] Increase the healing amount and healing effect received by 10%/12%/14%/16%. [4] When you or your teammates are healed, increase ATK by 12.5%/15%/17.5%/20% for 6 seconds. |
Tower of Fantasy Zero Best Team
For the best teams involving Zero, it is best to know that he works well in Benediction teams. By definition, Benediction means equipping two healer-type weapons to increase healing by 100%, and in a team play, further increase healing by another 100%.
In this situation, it’s a good choice to pair Zero with damage-dealing units like King and Samir. To make up for Zero’s low Shatter value, King is the best option for the shield breaking chances during battle but if your focus is on the DPS output instead, then Samir should be the one for you.
For the last slot, if you’re into competing in PVP, consider putting Nemesis if you have her for a more well-sustained lineup. She is a unit that’s on a league of her own when it comes to both PVP and PVE experience. Nemesis will be the one in charge of the team’s long term sustainability, as she can offer both plenty of healing as well as ranged DPS.
But if you’re more into the casual sides of Tower of Fantasy experience, a Shiro, Zero, and Cocoritter team is a really good lineup. Shiro can slow down enemies and is able to shred enemy shields from a distance, making this team comp great for general purpose gaming.
These are three of Zero’s most viable teams at the moment, and it should now depend on which Simulacra you have on your roster, or how you want your game to play out for you to be able to pick your chosen ones.

Tower of Fantasy Zero Pros and Cons
Zero’s kit, and his role as a Support, have their own pros and cons. As it stands, Zero is an all-around Support character from providing AOE shields, healing, and direct damage buffs. Additionally, he also has the highest value of Charge in the entire game so far, and he can grant you brief invincibility during battles through his shielding talents.
The downside is that Zero's true potential is locked behind Advancements like some of the other SSR units found in Tower of Fantasy. Being a shielder is what he does best, that’s why in a playstyle like his, it’s important to note that being proactive is needed rather than being reactive like in most cases.
