Tower of Fantasy presents a unique world with futuristic facilities, giving you a glimpse of what it’s like to live in a sci-fi and fantasy environment. The game itself has plenty of things to offer, including compelling stories and a complete roster of exciting and well-thought-out characters to explore.

Simultaneously, encountering large enemies and terrifying bosses will become a big part of your life in the world of Aida. That said, it is necessary to keep your character strong and become adept at fighting.

Who is Tower of Fantasy Pepper?

Born into a wealthy Banges family, she had an above-average education and was always well-behaved. One day, however, while going out, she and her family were attacked by aberrants, and her parents "died" from losing their suppressors. To be more precise, they didn't "die."

They became aberrants. Just as an Executor was about to put them out of their misery, Pepper, who survived, begged the Executor not to do it. Now they are confined somewhere by Hykros, and the family wealth is being slowly depleted to pay for their care.

That's why Pepper works in the medical department at Hykros. She chose to spend the rest of her life finding a way to cure the aberrants, and reverse their aberration.

Real name: Perimanda Prescott

Gender: Female

Height: 5'3" (160cm)

Birthday: Jul. 9th (Cancer)

Birthplace: Banges

Staff of Scars

Pepper carries Staff of Scars, a volt support weapon that focuses on deploying AOE heals around the area. Volt weapons paralyze and electrify targets for 1 and 6 seconds respectively dealing damage equal to 106.00% ATK after charging your weapon to the fullest. Using the said weapon in breaking shields is a waste of time as it only has a shatter rate 4.00. This should be instead utilized to charge weapons, while providing sustain and volt damage to enemies.

This weapon provides the following attributes:

  • Attack
  • Resistance
  • HP

Tower of Fantasy Pepper Attacks Guide

Normal Attack

While on the ground, swing the staff to attack 5 times in a row.
First Attack: Deal damage equal to 25.1% of ATK + 1.
Second Attack: Deal damage equal to 18.8% of ATK + 1.
Third Attack: Deal damage equal to 30.4% of ATK + 2.
Fourth Attack: Deal damage equal to 41.4% of ATK + 2.
Fifth Attack: Deal damage equal to 73.2% of ATK + 4.

Soaring Barrage

While airborne or after jumping, tap normal attack to attack 5 times in a row.
First Attack: Deal damage equal to 32.5% of ATK + 2.
Second Attack: Deal damage equal to 23.5% of ATK + 1.
Third Attack: Deal damage equal to 25.5% of ATK + 1.
Fourth Attack: Deal damage equal to 45.6% of ATK + 2.
Fifth Attack: Deal damage equal to 47.7% of ATK + 3.

Moonfall

Tap and hold the normal attack while airborne to trigger Moonfall.
Upon landing, deal damage once every 0.2 seconds, for a total of 57.2% of ATK + 3 damage.

Focused Assault

After the third normal attack, hold the normal attack button to trigger branch attacks, consuming 300 points of endurance.

Pull in enemies in front of the user, suspending them and dealing damage equal to 16.1% of ATK + 1 every 0.3 seconds (up to 4 times).
Second Attack: Deal damage equal to 18.6% of ATK + 1 at the target location and to nearby enemies every 0.3 seconds.

Surge

Tap normal attack during the short perfect dodge window (tap an arrow button before dodging) to trigger Surge.
Each weave of energy deals damage equal to 22.6% of ATK + 1 to targets.
Grant 75 weapon charge points upon use.

Tesseract

Tap normal attack during the short period after dodging to trigger Evasive Blast.
Fires an orb forward, dealing damage equal to 32.1% of ATK + 2 to targets in its path every 0.3 seconds (up to 5 times).
Grant 75 weapon charge points upon use.

Sanctuary

Create an energy shield at the Wanderer's location. Heal allies within the shield for 81.7% of ATK + 4 every second and reduce their damage taken by 3% for 10 seconds.
Cooldown: 60 seconds.

One may notice the resemblance between Pepper's Staff of Scars and Cocoritter's Absolute Zero, including the way their attacks work. Both of their skills deploy an area that heals its wielders and allies caught inside. The only difference is that, Cocoritter's heal follows her around wherever she goes while Pepper's stay in the same area where it is casted. Sanctuary has a long skill cooldown of 60 seconds, which tells that you should know where to position it to make the most out of its duration. For instance, you would want to place it on the boss or the area where all or most of your allies stand.

Swift Deliverance

When weapon charge is full or Phantasia is triggered, switching to this weapon from another weapon removes all debuffs from the wielder, and the staff continues to remove debuffs from the Wanderer and allies, plus healing nearby Wanderers and allies for 79% of ATK + 4 HP for 7 seconds.

Similar to Sanctuary, Pepper's Swift Deliverance is only applied within one area. That said, you should make sure to place it on the right spot where most of your teammate stays to make the most out of the heal.

How to use Tower of Fantasy Pepper and Staff of Scars?

Pepper and Staff of Scars offer tons of healing with the right build, and damage reduction as well. Healers in the game are given less attention compared to DPS characters as some players focus on seeing big numbers, without giving regard to the importance of supports in team compositions. Without them, players may not be able to survive Joint Operations, Void Rifts, Frontier Clash and other stuff in the game.

Pepper is an SR character, but as long as you know how to properly build her, you can still let her join the fray without worrying about underperforming. But before moving on to her build and ways how to fully optimize her kit, let us first understand how healing works in the game.

There are several things that influence one's healing ability:

Benediction

Benediction resonance effect applies to your team if you have at least two support-type weapons at hand. In solo play, your healing is increased by 100% and 200% if you are in a co-op team.

Matrices Effect

Equipping the right matrices makes a great difference as it not only improves your base stats but also amplifies the healing you can do for yourself and your time. For Pepper, several matrices offer these which will be discussed in the matrices section.

Attack stat

As mentioned in the description, healing scales off of ATK. Additionally, elemental attack also dictates your healing capability. That said, improving these stats is not only necessary to DPS, but for supports as well. The higher ATK and Elemental ATK you have, the more effective you are as a healer. In this case, you will also want to work on increasing your Volt Atk stat for Staff of Scars.

Crit

Surprisingly, healing does crit but there might be a chance that you miss it. Different from typical critical strikes, no star will appear next to your healing once it crits, but surely it does.

Aside from these stats, maintaining and refining your HP and Resistance also matters. This does not bring a significant impact on how much you can restore your allies health within a certain time. But aside from keeping them alive, you ought to make sure you can keep up with the bosses' attacks so as to not leave your teammates. As a healer, (assuming you are running the Benediction team), your allies would need to depend on your presence to help them survive while they are landing continuous damage and taking aggro.

Pepper's Sanctuary has a long skill down of 60 seconds, which means you will only have to use this if necessary. In relation to this, getting her first advancement at least is recommended for continuous healing you can get each time you make a dodge skill.

But, if you have her at first advancement and in need of healing, you can spam your dodge skill as long as it is not in cooldown to generate and restore some health for you and your team.

Advancements

Staff of Scars is an SR weapon. Unlike the high-rated weapons out there, these weapons are easier to obtain, hence you will only have to spend less amount of nuclei and resources to grant them their advancements.

One Star: Heal all teammates within 10 meters for 100% of ATK after using a Dodge skill.

Her first advancement effect itself does not have a cooldown, but dodge does. Nevertheless, spamming her dodge skill is optimal especially with how long you would have to wait before her skill becomes online. Additionally, you are gaining charge while doing so.

Two Star: Increase the current weapon's base HP growth by 10%.

Three Star: Normal attacks also fire two missiles, each dealing damage equal to 5% of ATK to the target and restoring 5 weapon charge points.

While Staff of Scars is in use, you will notice two volt projectiles homing towards your target after each normal attack. Each of these missiles contribute a lot as you charge other weapons.

Four Star: Increase the current weapon's base HP growth by 20%.

Five Star: Increase speed of obtaining weapon charge by 20% (not applicable to missile attacks).

For faster rotations and deployment of discharge skills, 5-star pepper is your go-to, even better if you have her matrix set.

Six star: Grant all teammates within range 60% damage reduction whenever a skill dispels control effects from the target.

Aside from Pepper's Sanctuary, her sixth advancement also proffers more damage reduction for her allies only if it manages to mitigate crowd controls.

Pepper Pros and Cons

Here are Pepper's Pros and Cons which will help you in deciding whether or not should you get or save for her

ProsCons
High charge Heals from skill and discharge are stationary and cannot be repositioned if necessary
Provides heal and damage reduction for herself and her teamLong skill cooldown
Grants damage and buffsLess efficient heal compared to Cocoritter
Continuous and constant healing if you have her at first advancement
Pepper's healing can benefit from Volt Atk resonance
Being an SR unit, it is easier to obtain her duplicates and matrix sets

Tower of Fantasy Pepper Best Matrices

MatricesEffect
2 pc Nemesis Set (SSR)When a target is being healed, their volt ATK is increased by 8%/10%/12%/15% for 20 seconds. This effect does not stack, and only the highest level's effect is applied when obtained repeatedly.

Nemesis' 2 pc set only favors volt weapons with the additional Volt ATK when healed. Apparently, this matrix set is useless if you are aiming to increase your non-volt weapon's damage. Nevetheless, this is great if you are only attempting to increase Pepper's heals. More Volt Atk + higher heal.
4 pc Cocoritter Set (SSR)Increase the healing amount and healing effect received by 10%/12%/14%/16%.

When you or your teammates are healed, increase ATK by 12.5%/15%/17.5%/20% for 6 seconds.

4 pc Cocoritter is your go-to and best-in-slot matrix set if you're running a benediction team with Pepper. 2 pc set alone is good as it ramps up your healing capability by at least 10%. Going for the whole 4 piece set is also recommended as it further helps your team.
3 pc Pepper Set (SR)Increase speed of obtaining weapon charge by 10%/12.5%/15%.

Further boosting Pepper's weapon charge is also beneficial for the team so you can spam your discharge skills more frequently. Likewise, Pepper's skill takes too long (1 minute) to come online, which meant you will have to look for another source of healing that may come from your discharge.
3 pc Echo Set (SR)Using a discharge skill to switch to the current weapon grants 80/100/120 weapon charge.

3 piece Echo does not enhance nor upgrade your weapon charge, but 80-120 weapon charge after weapon switch allows you to gain an entry to cast another discharge skill of your choice.
3 pc Frost Bot Set (SR)When HP is below 40%, using a discharge skill to switch to the current weapon restores HP equal to 160%/200%/240% of ATK.

Aside from keeping your allies alive, you are also obliged to maintain your HP at a healthy amount. This is because aside from their own dodging skills, they heavily rely on your healing and buff abilities to survive the fray.
3 pc Standard Operation Set (R)Increase damage dealt by volt weapons by 6%.

Tower of Fantasy Best Pepper Team

Listed down are several team compositions you can use for Pepper utilizing different weapon resonance effects.

Samir - Nemesis - Pepper

This team composition makes the most out of the mono-volt team. With Nemesis' presence, your volt ATK and volt resistance by 15% and 25%, respectively. The team will also benefit from the Benediction weapon resonance for extra healing, and from the fact that you can now focus on only upgrading volt atk for damage and healing. Samir does the damage, while Nemesis and Pepper will shine as the healer and buffer. However, this team is not optimal according to standards. As a rule of thumb, there should be at least one shield-breaker in a team regardless of the weapon resonance effect chosen.

For large bosses, if the shield is not broken, this may lead to getting deleted instantly with one shot after releasing its ultimate ability. This however, can be prevented by adding in a shield-breaker like Meryl or Huma.

Echo - Nemesis - Pepper

The second one pretty much resembles the first suggested comp. It is a mono-volt team, but with a shield-breaker this time. Echo has a shatter rate of 11 which makes her a great option, especially at first advancement, and easy to get being an SR simulacrum.

Pepper - Nemesis - Huma

For SSR units, Nemesis and Huma can make a good addition to the game, still with the Benediction resonance effect. Huma's Molten Shield V2 despite being a defense weapon can become an all-rounder. In this particular team, she will excel at shredding shields with her dodge attacks. While doing so, Huma can leave targets racking in pain as she inflicts flame damage + DoT after her discharge. Simultaneously, her weapon charges up the other two.

Pepper - Zero - Huma

With Nemesis being a limited SSR simulacrum, not everyone can have her weapon, Venus. But fret not as there are other SSR support weapons at your disposal. If you're in need of a continuous source of sustain; healing, shielding and damage reduction or immunity, opting for Zero is a good choice.

Huma - Meryl - Pepper

Pepper also functions inside Fortitude teams. Tanks are meant to take aggro and receive the most damage from the enemies while their allies focus on their respective roles. In fortitude teams, two defense weapons must exist in the same comp at the same time. The third slot can be filled with a support like Pepper. This adds another means of sustain aside from what Huma and Meryl's weapon can offer for instance. After all, you are expected to remain alive.

Crow - Pepper - King

For the attack resonance, you can add in two DPS weapons along with Pepper. In picking the right weapons for attack resonance specifically, you should not just include two random DPS without consideration. For instance, you may give thought to adding a main-DPS like Crow and a DPS shield-breaker like King.

Samir - Pepper - Meryl

For Balanced team, you will want to equip a DPS weapon as your main source of damage like Samir, Crow, Shiro and Tsubasa and a defense weapon for shieldbreaking. As an example, you can go for a Samir, Pepper and Meryl team composition.

Bai Ling - Ene - Pepper

Got no SSR units? No problem. SSR units are only one tier ahead of SR weapons, but they are not as useless as the others may think. SR units are easier to acquire and upgrade. That said you can conveniently access their advancements with low investments, and will still be just as good.

Bai Ling, a ranged DPS character can land continuous attacks from afar with her bow. She also has a decent charge rate allowing you to spam your discharge skills. Ene on the other hand, is a defense weapon with an above-average shatter value for shieldbreaking. These three make up the standard balanced team with a decent charge rate for better rotations.

Best Relics for Tower of Fantasy Pepper

Alternate Destiny: Generate a Pocket Dimension for 8 seconds. Allies gain immunity to hitstun effects in the dimension, and HP will not drop below 20% from enemy attacks. Leaving the dimension removes all buffs. Once you have spent 8 seconds in the dimension, you cannot be buffed by it for 45 seconds.

Omnium Shield: Generate an Omnium shield that stops projectiles for 10 seconds, with starting energy equal to 200% of the Wanderer's max HP.

Hologram Projector: Project a hologram of the user that synchronously replays the Wanderer's weapon attacks, dealing 35% of the Wanderer's damage dealt. Lasts for 15 seconds.

Couant: Summon a droid and generate a shield for 5 seconds. The shield disappears after 5 seconds or after being struck once. When it disappears, it knocks back nearby enemies, dealing damage equal to 100% of ATK + 50. If broken within 1 second of being created, the shield will stun enemies for 2 seconds.

How to Obtain Tower of Fantasy Pepper

Getting SSR simulacra and weapons takes luck in order to get them. If unlucky, you might even have to reach the maximum pity in order to get them. Fortunately, there are SR weapons that you can use at your disposal. SSR weapons might be greater than these, but that does not mean they are useless. In fact, since the rates are higher for SR type, getting their dupes and gaining access to their advancements are way easier.

Tower of Fantasy Pepper can be obtained in the Special Orders by spending your Red, Black or Gold Nucleus. Take note that Pepper is included in these banners permanently.
