Black Clover M – Kiato Best Build, Skill Pages & Team Composition

At the time of writing, Kiato's banner has just been released, and players might be contemplating whether he's worth pulling for. As a great attacker, if you're in need of one, he could be the perfect addition to your team.

Today we're discussing the ability setup for Kiato, including his gear sets, talent tree, skill cards, and the best teams to use in both PVE and PVP. Additionally, I'll introduce some variations in the gear sets for this attacker. Thankfully, there are several attack stats available, such as penetration, crit damage, crit rate, and more. I'll explore different options to optimize his kit.

Who is Kiato?

In the world of "Black Clover," the Seabed Temple Arc is a significant storyline where Asta, Noelle, and the Black Bulls, along with other Magic Knights, embark on a mission to retrieve a magic stone from the Seabed Temple. The temple is inhabited by water-based mages and priests, and Kiato is one of the characters they encounter during their adventure.

Kiato initially challenges Asta and his friends as part of the temple's trial. However, as they progress, Kiato starts to understand their intentions and eventually assists them in their quest. His character highlights themes of understanding, cooperation, and the importance of seeing beyond initial appearances.

The Seabed Temple Arc is an engaging part of "Black Clover," showcasing both the strengths and challenges faced by the characters while providing more depth to the magical world and its diverse inhabitants. It's a pivotal moment in the series that emphasizes teamwork, acceptance, and the power of overcoming obstacles through cooperation and understanding.

Kiato's Role

AttributeTechniqueClassAttacker

Kiato is an attacker who can grant buffs to himself by activating additional effects while receiving buffs.

It's worth noting that he becomes significantly less effective if his buffs are removed or blocked, so caution is necessary against enemy skills that can do this.

Utilizing specific buffs effectively is crucial. Kiato can grant himself a unique buff called "Cheerful Dance" using his unique Passive Skill and Motif Skill Page enhancement skill.

Cheerful Dance itself isn't particularly powerful, offering only piercing resistance and increased damage reduction. However, when stacked up to 5 times, it upgrades to the "Almost an Idol Debut" buff.

Upon reaching the "Almost an Idol Debut," in addition to piercing resistance and increased damage reduction, there is also a 50% increase in damage dealt, significantly boosting his attacking abilities.

Without motifs, it may take some time to activate, as it requires 5 stacks of buffs. Even with motifs, it might take 3 to 4 stacks. However, once activated, Kiato transforms into a high-damage output attacker.

Nevertheless, as mentioned earlier, he is extremely vulnerable to buff removal or blocking, so increasing his survivability is important.

Recommended Skill Pages

His skill card grants a 40-60% chance to obtain a 20-40% increased damage buff before attacking. Additionally, when applied to Kiato, the card provides a 10% increased crit rate, dispels any damage over time debuffs, and grants a stack of "Exciting Dance" upon dispelling the debuff.

Recommended Equipment Sets

Furthermore, penetration can significantly improve his damage output, compensating for the lack of penetration in his skills.

Skills and Passives

Skill number one offers a 15% increased damage after applying a buff. It's a single-target skill and can deal a decent amount of damage when buffed. Moving on to skill number two, it's intriguing as it deals AOE damage and provides a 10% increased crit rate buff based on the number of buffs affecting Kiato. This skill is particularly useful for PVE scenarios where facing multiple enemies is common.

Now, let's dive into his ultimate. When Kiato has two or more buffs, his ultimate guarantees a critical hit, making it exceptionally powerful. This feature makes him effective against characters like Noelle. Moreover, the ultimate grants a 15% increased accuracy buff for each self-buff, enhancing his accuracy significantly.

His combined attack, a single-target ability, applies a 30% increased damage to himself when the enemy is taking continuous damage. Overall, his entire kit revolves around dealing substantial damage.

Regarding his passives, the first one offers a 5% increased damage, while the LR passive, "Exciting Dance," buffs his endurance and block by 5% for each stack. Upon reaching five stacks, he gains "Idol Debut" for two turns, granting a 30% increased endurance, 30% increased block, and a 50% increased damage. This makes him a powerhouse in dealing damage.

Talents

Regarding the talent tree, focusing on physical attack (7% increase) and critical chance (up to 2.5%) buffs is crucial. In the blue tree, enhancing defense and critical resistance is beneficial, and in the green tree, prioritizing accuracy and penetration will bolster his offensive capabilities.

Team Composition

As for the best teams, for PVP, a team comprising Valtos and Rhoades can provide speed, support, and defense to complement Kiato's damage-dealing abilities. For PVE, including Kiato with Lotus and potentially William can create a balanced team for tackling various challenges.

Summary

Ultimately, Kiato is a solid unit, although not a must-have like Noelle. His gear set focusing on attack, crit damage, and penetration can maximize his damage potential, making him an excellent addition to your team for both PVE and PVP scenarios.
