Who is Leopold Vermillion?

Leopold Vermillion is a character from the anime and manga series "Black Clover." He's a member of the Clover Kingdom's noble Vermillion family and the younger brother of Fuegoleon Vermillion, who is the captain of the Crimson Lion squad. Leopold is also a member of the Crimson Lion squad and has a fiery personality, which matches his magic attribute – Fire Magic. Throughout the series, you'll see him growing as a mage and playing a role in various adventures alongside his teammates.

In terms of skill cards, an all-attack +12% card is a good option for more damage. His skill page, Lion's Energy, applies increased all attack proportionate to your own current HP and has a 40% chance to inflict burn for two turns. While the passive is not ideal, the added burn chance makes the skill card worthwhile.

For gear, prioritize attack and penetration sets. Crit gear is less recommended due to his base crit rate of 15%. The main stat on gear should be magic attack.

Skills and Passives

Leopold's passive grants a 2% increased damage dealt buff upon attacking each enemy afflicted with a burn. It may not sound like a lot, but that 2% can be devastating when you consider the damage he's already doing. He works well with a Burn team because if another ally burns the enemy first, you get an extra 2% damage when doing his attacks.

His Crimson Flame skill one is a single-target attack that grants a 50% life steal. While not the highest life steal, it's useful for healing a bit each turn. Skill two, Flame Burst, is an AOE skill that grants an increased magic attack buff based on current HP (maximum 30%). However, building him for HP isn't recommended as it won't maximize his magic attack. The skill also has a 70% chance to inflict continuous burn damage for two turns.

For his special skill, Spiral Flame, it attacks after granting a 60% increased damage dealt buff if the enemy is taking continuous burn damage. Additionally, it provides a 75% life steal, making it his best skill. The recommended upgrade priority is special skill, secondary skill, primary skill, and the combined attack last.
