Genshin Impact: In the Footsteps of the Chosen of Dragons Quest Chain Guide

This one is an extremely long chain quest- no, not as in the duration, but there are just so many quests inside this chain quest and there's no navigation so you need to find all of them by yourself. That's where this guide will help you find each of the quests related to the chain quest and complete them.

Treasures and Collectors Quest

Teleport to the waypoint northwest of the "Scions of the Canopy" and head west to the NPC sitting on a chair. Talk to Quipia to start the quest Treasures and Collectors. Once you start the quest, enter the hole right in front of Quipia to reach the excavation site and keep following the quest navigation.

Once you reach a seemingly dead end, wait until your Saurian walks forward and interacts with the switch to dig it back up. Interact with the switch to open the door. Inside the door is a Monetoo trapped inside a cage and you need to use Yumkasaurus to help and release the Monetoo.

Go back to the previous area where there's a lot of Pyro bomb, and you can see a Yumkasaurus phlogiston so you can indwell it and use its attack to destroy the breakable wall (use Elemental Sight to see the breakable wall).

Walk to the Monetoo and pull the brick so you can open the cage to free Monetoo. After it's free, return the brick to the original place so the Monetoo can reach the graffiti on the wall. A mechanism will appear and the enemy behind you will be activated so defeat them to progress.

After that, go back to the surface and talk to Quipia to complete the quest.

Waiting For Seeds to Sprout Quest

Teleport to the Weapon Domain and climb upwards to the southeast. Your Saurian will appear and it will start digging the holes there. Lead the Saurian to the hole until you get a seed. This will start the Waiting For Seeds to Sprout quest.

Plant the seed with your Saurian buddy and chase away all the upcoming bugs to complete the quest. Wait for a daily reset for the seed to grow and go there once again to get the achievement [A New Hope].

Tepetlisaurus Hide-and-Seek Quest

Teleport to the point north of the Sulfurous Veins and head east where you can spot a Pyroculus inside a fallen tree trunk. Keep walking there where you will see a group of cute Tepetlisaurus and the quest will automatically start. The quest is easy where you need to find your Saurian after it play around for so long. The Saurian is near the fallen tree trunk (if you didn't find them, try talking to all the small Tepetlisaurus first).

Gifts and Gifts in Return Quest

Teleport to Tepeacac Rise south waypoint and head to the waterfall on the west and you can see the same glowing pillars. Interact with it to teleport you to the area where you first meet your Saurian companion and this quest will start automatically. Once you arrive, keep following the quest navigation until you're back to "Children of Echoes."

When the navigation mentions looking for a jeweler's shop, you can look for Imix (the NPC where you start the Tribal Chronicle quest). Then, go look for Kuhalaw, who's marked on the map.

Now to retrieve the lost gem and the tools. This may look hard, but all you need to do is to indwell a Yumkasaurus and follow the Coilgrass Sigils trails that lead to 3 shining locations. Or just look at the image above for the 3 items you need to find. After that, just follow the quest navigation and you will complete the quest.

A Saurian Lover's Ordinary Days Quest

Teleport to the Reputation Level in "Scions of the Canopy" and head north while keeping an eye out on the ground. Glide down when you see an NPC being surrounded by three Saurians. Get close to them to start the quest. It's really easy so you just need to follow the quest navigation to complete them.

Weighty Wings Quest

A really short and sweet quest where you save an injured Saurian. Teleport to the waypoint north of Teticpac Peak and head northeast towards the camp (can be seen by the little blue tent on the map). Defeat the enemies there before you can start the quest.

To heal the Qucusaurus, attack the Embercore Flower to bloom them and you can pcik them up. Collect 3 Embercore Flowers and give it to the Qucusaurus to heal it and complete the quest.

Lights, Kamera, Actions! Quest

Teleport to the Statue of the Seven at "Children of Echoes" and climb the cliff behind you. Interact with the Kamera and you will start the quest.

When the NPC told you to put the barrel and bait in the specific place, just follow your Saurian as they help you determine which spot is the best. Then, read the dialogue till the end and you will complete the quest.

Feeling Like Fish Today! Quest

It's time for some bonding time with your Saurian and what's better than fishing? Teleport to waypoint southwest of Ancestral Temple and head southwest to the shore where you can see some fishing rods. When you get near, your Saurian companion will appear to trigger the quest.

During the quest, you need to clean the water by indwelling Koholasaurus (its attack) to break all the boxes and defeat the small Slime. After some fishing, use Koholasaurus again to chase after the swimming fish because Paimon really wants that fish. Finally, the quest ends with an achievement "…And Thanks for All the Fish!"

Lies and Promises Quest

Teleport to the underground waypoint in Teticpac Peak and head northeast where you can see a Yumkasaurus guarding a Luxurious Chest. Interact with the Strange Yumkasaurus to start the quest, if this doesn't work, indwell a Yumkasaurus first before interacting with it.

Go back to human form and give them meat. The Strange Yumkasaurus will fall asleep and you need to indwell a Yumkasaurus to interact with the sleeping Saurian and understand what it's talking about. Get your Saurian to get the Luxurious Chest to expose the scheme here. Go along with the quest until the end and you will complete the quest. After completing the quest, feed the Yumkasaurus one last time and you will get the achievement 'A Final Kindness.'

Special Friends Quest

Time to make a new friend for our Saurian companion. Teleport to the Statue of the Seven in "Scions of the Canopy" and head southwest until you see an alpaca and a Yumkasaurus. Interact with them to start the quest and you'll need to find the Yumkasaurus for a bit.

Once you talk to the NPC for this quest, talk to all alpaca around here (there are 3) before you can find the last one. For the last alpaca, you need to save them by using a wooden plank to create a path. After that, the quest will be completed.

Don't forget to pick up the alpaca toy so it can be added to the rest area.
