Lynette is an Anemo DPS character with agile mobility. Lynette's Elemental Skill allows her to execute an Enigma Thrust, dealing Anemo DMG. When the skill is held, Lynette will enter a high-speed Pilfering Shadow state and unleash her Enigma Thrust when this state ends.

By using her Elemental Burst, Lynette will summon a Bogglecat Box that can taunt and attack nearby opponents. When the Bogglecat Box comes into contact with certain elements, and Elemental Absorption will occur and it will fire Vivid Shots that will deal DMG from the corresponding element at intervals.

This guide is based on the Community Character Builds by the Genshin Helper Team.

Skills Overview

Normal Attack: Rapid Ritesword

Normal Attack
Performs up to 4 rapid strikes.

Charged Attack
Consumes a certain amount of Stamina to unleash 2 rapid sword strikes.

Plunging Attack
Plunges from mid-air to strike the ground below, damaging opponents along the path and dealing AoE DMG upon impact.

Elemental Skill: Enigmatic Feint

Flicks her mantle and executes an Enigma Thrust, dealing Anemo DMG.
When the Enigma Thrust hits an opponent, it will restore Lynette's HP based on her Max HP, and in the 4s afterward, she will lose a certain amount of HP per second.
Based on whether you press or hold this ability, she will use Enigma Thrust differently.

Press
She swiftly uses an Enigma Thrust.

Hold
Lynette will enter a high-speed Pilfering Shadow state and apply Shadowsign to a nearby opponent. You can control her movement direction during this state, and you can end it prematurely by using this skill again.
When this high-speed state ends, Lynette will unleash her Enigma Thrust. If there is an opponent with Shadowsign applied to them nearby, Lynette will approach them in a flash before using Enigma Thrust.

Hold Max Duration: 2.5 seconds
Cooldown: 12 seconds

A maximum of 1 opponent can have Shadowsign at any one time. When this opponent gets too far from Lynette, the Shadowsign will be canceled.

Arkhe: Ousia
At specific intervals, Lynette will unleash a Surging Blade when she uses Enigma Thrust, dealing Ousia-aligned Anemo DMG.

Elemental Burst: Magic Trick: Astonishing Shift

Lynette raises her mantle high, dealing AoE Anemo DMG, using skillful sleight of hand to make a giant Bogglecat Box appear!

Bogglecat Box

  • Taunts nearby opponents, attracting their attacks.
  • Deals Anemo DMG to nearby opponents at intervals.
  • When the Bogglecat Box comes into contact with Hydro/Pyro/Cryo/Electro, it will gain the corresponding element and additionally fire Vivid Shots that will deal DMG from that element at intervals.

Bogglecat Box Duration: 12 seconds
Cooldown: 18 seconds
Energy Cost: 70

Elemental Absorption of this kind will only occur once during this ability's duration.

Ascension 1: Sophisticated Synergy

Within 10s after using Magic Trick: Astonishing Shift, when there are 1/2/3/4 Elemental Types in the party, all party members' ATK will be increased by 8%/12%/16%/20% respectively.

Ascension 4: Props Positively Prepped

After the Bogglecat Box summoned by Magic Trick: Astonishing Shift performs Elemental Coversion, Lynette's Elemental Burst will deal 15% more DMG. This effect will persist until the Bogglecat Box's duration ends.

Passive Talent: Loci-Based Mnemonics

Shows the location of nearby Recovery Orbs on the minimap. The Aquatic Stamina and HP gained from touching Orbs will be increased by 25%.

TLDR / Rotation

All the enemies are attacking the Bogglecat Box instead of the active character

Lynette can either play as off-field DPS / support or on-field DPS (only if she reaches C6). If your Lynette is not C6 yet, it's better to use her as a support. In this case, her rotation heavily depends on what team you're using.
For example, if you're using Hu Tao - Yelan - Xingqiu, use the Hydro duo's Skill and Burst first before using Lynette's Skill and Burst. Then, Hu Tao's Skill and spam attacks.

At C6, Lynette can be the main DPS or Hyperbloom trigger because she can be more effective at triggering Swirl and Hyperbloom (by letting her Elemental Burst absorb Electro to trigger Hyperbloom).
For example, in the team of Lynette - Fischl - Xingqiu - Collei: Fischl's Skill > Lynette's Burst > Collei's Skill and Burst > Xingqiu's Skill and Burst > Lynette's Skill and Normal Attack as she gains Anemo Infusion (from constellations)

Talent Priorities

Burst > Skill
Since Lyney is an off-field DPS, you don't need to upgrade her Normal Attack (Unless you're planning to use her as an on-field DPS when she reaches C6).

Constellations

Best Constellations: C2, C4 & C6

C1: A Cold Blade Like a Shadow
When Enigmatic Feint's Enigma Thrust hits an opponent with Shadowsign, a vortex will be created at that opponent's position that will pull nearby opponents in.

C2: Endless Mysteries (Good!) ⭐
Whenever the Bogglecat Box summoned by Magic Trick: Astonishing Shift fires a Vivid Shot, it will fire an extra Vivid Shot.

C3: Cognition-Inverting Gaze
Increases the Level of Magic Trick: Astonishing Shift by 3.
Maximum upgrade level is 15.

C4: Tacit Coordination (Great!) ⭐
Increases Enigmatic Feint's charges by 1.

C5: Obscuring Ambiguity
Increases the Level of Enigmatic Feint by 3.
Maximum upgrade level is 15.

C6: Watchful Eye (Awesome!) ⭐
When Lynette uses Enigmatic Feint's Enigma Thrust, she will gain an Anemo Infusion and 20% Anemo DMG Bonus for 6s.

Recommended Weapons

  1. Favonius Sword (4⭐)
  2. Fleuve Cendre Ferryman (4⭐)
    ~= Sacrificial Sword (4⭐)*
    ~= Amenoma Kageuchi (4⭐)
    ~= Skyward Blade (5⭐)
  3. Freedom-Sworn (5⭐)*

1) Favonius Sword (ATK: 454 • Energy Recharge: 61.3%)

[Refinement 5] CRIT hits have a 100% chance to generate a small amount of Elemental Particles, which will regenerate 6 Energy for the character. Can only occur once every 6s.

2) Fleuve Cendre Ferryman (ATK: 510 • Energy Recharge: 45.9%)

[Refinement 5] Increases Elemental Skill CRIT Rate by 16%. Additionally, increases Energy Recharge by 32% for 5s after using an Elemental Skill.

3) Sacrificial Sword (ATK: 454 • Energy Recharge: 61.3%)

[Refinement 5] After dealing damage to an opponent with an Elemental Skill, the skill has a 80% chance to end its own CD. Can only occur once every 16s.
Note: Ideally you would want higher refinement levels as in [R3]+ so its cooldown aligns better with your rotation.

4) Freedom-Sworn (ATK: 608 • Elemental Mastery: 198)

[Refinement 1] Increases DMG by 10%.
When the character wielding this weapon triggers Elemental Reactions, they gain a Sigil of Rebellion. This effect can be triggered once every 0.5s and can be triggered even if said character is not on the field.
When you possess 2 Sigils of Rebellion, all of them will be consumed and all nearby party members will obtain "Millennial Movement: Song of Resistance" for 12s.
"Millennial Movement: Song of Resistance" increases Normal, Charged, and Plunging Attack DMG by 16% and increases ATK by 20%. Once this effect is triggered, you will not gain Sigils of Rebellion for 20s.
Of the many effects of the "Millennial Movement," buffs of the same type will not stack.
Note: While this is her best buffing weapon it would be extremely difficult to meet her Energy requirements without a Energy Recharge weapon especially while primarly using her as an off-field unit.

Recommended Artifacts

  1. Viridescent Venerer (4)
  2. Emblem of Severed Fate (4)*
  3. Marechaussee Hunter
  4. Noblesse Oblige (4)*
  5. +15% Anemo DMG set (2) / +20% ER set (2) / Noblesse Oblige (2) / +18% ATK set (2) [Choose Two]

1) 4-Pc Viridescent Venerer

2-Piece Bonus: Anemo DMG Bonus +15%
4-Piece Bonus: Increases Swirl DMG by 60%. Decreases opponent's Elemental RES to the element infused in the Swirl by 40% for 10s.

2) 4-Pc Emblem of Severed Fate

2-Piece Bonus: Energy Recharge +20%
4-Piece Bonus: Increases Elemental Burst DMG by 25% of Energy Recharge. A maximum of 75% bonus DMG can be obtained in this way.
Note: This set will give Lynette her best personal damage output, assuming the team is already running Viridescent Venerer (4).

3) 4-Pc Marechaussee Hunter

2-Piece Bonus: Normal and Charged Attack DMG +15%.
4-Piece Bonus: When current HP increases or decreases, CRIT Rate will be increased by 12% for 5s. Max 3 stacks.

2-Piece Bonus: Elemental Burst DMG +20%
4-Piece Bonus: Using an Elemental Burst increases all party members' ATK by 20% for 12s. This effect cannot stack.
Note: This is a good option for her in teams that either won't benefit significantly from Viridescent Venerer (4) shred, or where putting it on her is the lowest total team damage loss.

4) 2-Pc Viridescent Venerer / Emblem of Severed Fate / Noblesse Oblige / Gladiator's Nostalgia

Viridescent Venerer: +15% Anemo DMG
Emblem of Severed Fate: +20% ER
Noblesse Oblige: +20% Elemental Burst DMG
Gladiator's Nostalgia: +18% ATK

Team Compositions

General Anemo Support

Fill the other 3 slots with DPS, Sub-DPS, and healer/shielder of your choices

This team is basically Lynette as a general Anemo Support that makes use of Viridescent Venerer artifact, shredding enemies' Elemental RES. With her A1 Passive, Lynette can increase all party members' ATK will be increased by 8%/12%/16%/20% (depending on the different number of Elemental Types in the party).

However, take note that Lynette lacks the ability to group enemies with either her Skill or Burst, and the latter can only taunt enemies. In this regard, she is usually outperformed by other great Anemo CCs like Kazuha, Venti, and Sucrose.

Example: Freeze Team
Example 2: Vaporize Team

Triple Anemo Team

If you're using Lynette as the main DPS once she reaches C6, make sure to build her normally like other DPS (ATK / Anemo DMG / Crit).
Lynette: Main DPS
Faruzan: Anemo buffer
Kazuha: Grouping || Xianyun: Plunge damage buffer
Bennett: Buffer + Healer || Furina: Off-field DPS + Buffer

C6 Hyperbloom Trigger

At C6, Lynette can be the main DPS or Hyperbloom trigger because she can be more effective at triggering Swirl and Hyperbloom (by letting her Elemental Burst absorb Electro to trigger Hyperbloom).
For example, in the team of Lynette - Fischl - Xingqiu - Collei: Fischl's Skill > Lynette's Burst > Collei's Skill and Burst > Xingqiu's Skill and Burst > Lynette's Skill and Normal Attack as she gains Anemo Infusion (from constellations).
Lynette: Main DPS
Fischl: Electro application
Xingqiu: Hydro application
Collei: Dendro application
