Genshin Impact: Primogems Calculation Version 5.0

Here is the estimation for Primogems one can obtain in Genshin Impact version 5.0! The first thing you need to know is that version 5.0 will have a duration of 42 days, starting from August 28 to October 9. Remember that this is speculation based on the previous versions’ events and gameplay, and by no means official!

How to Get 16420/20880 Primogems in Genshin Impact Version 5.0

From the infographic I created above, F2P players will get 16420 Primogems, 22 Acquaint Fates, and 15 Intertwined Fates. On the other hand, P2P players will get even more with the addition of Gnostic Hymn and Welkin, resulting in a total of 20880 Primogems, 26 Acquaint Fates, and 15 Intertwined Fates.

Game Update Compensation

The update maintenance for version 5.0 will begin on August 28 at 06:00 AM (UTC+8) based on the previous maintenance update, and once the maintenance is complete, all players will get 600 Primogems from their in-game mail. You have lots of time to claim it because it will expire in 29 days.

Daily Commissions

Now for the usual stuff, since we will have 42 days in version 5.0, multiply that by 60 Primogems per day, and you will get a total of 2520 Primogems. Of course, that is if you manage to do all the commissions without skipping a day.

Paimon's Bargain

For Paimon's Bargain, I include the Fates you can buy from September and October, so you can get a total of 10 Acquaint Fates and 10 Intertwined Fates from Paimon's Bargain Shop.

Spiral Abyss + Imaginarium Theater

There are 2 cycles of Imaginarium Theater and 1 cycle of Spiral Abyss in version 5.0. As usual, Spiral Abyss will give 800 Primogems per cycle, but Imaginarium Theater has been updated.

In version 5.0, Imaginarium Theater will have a new version which is Visionary Mode. Essentially, we will have 2 new stages for IT. That's why, the total rewards for each cycle will now be 800 Primogems!
Since there are 2 cycles for Imaginarium Theater in version 5.0, you will get 1600 Primogems from those 2 cycles.

There's more! Since we got 2 new stages, there will be addition in the Debut Performance Gift which can be seen in the image above. Stage 9 and Stage 10 will give you 150 and 250 Primogems, respectively.

IN TOTAL:
Debut Performance Gift will add 2 more stages (400 Primogems)
Imaginarium Theater 1st cycle of version 5.0 - September 1 (800 Primogems)
Spiral Abyss 1st cycle of version 5.0 - September 16 (800 Primogems)
Imaginarium Theater 1st cycle of version 5.0 - October 1 (800 Primogems)

You can get a total of 2800 Primogems from both Abyss and Theater in version 5.0.

There are 2 types of Battle Pass here: Sojourner's Battle Pass (Free) and Gnostic Hymn (Paid). Obviously, both give different rewards.

Blessing of the Welkin Moon

Another P2P option is where you will get 90 Primogems daily for 30 days. If you continuously have the Welkin Moon for the entire version 5.0, you will get a total of 3780 Primogems (Not including the Genesis Crystal).

Archon Quest

There are 2 new acts for Archon Quest in version 5.0, and each of them will give you 60 Primogems and 1 Intertwined Fate.
If you don’t remember where did that Fate come from, it’s from the Tour Guide in Adventurer’s Handbook that will give you 1 Intertwined Fate from each Archon Quest you’ve completed.

Aside from that, Archon Quest will now give you a time-limited 500 Primogems which you can claim from the event page like in the image above.
In total, you will get 2 Intertwined Fates and 620 Primogems from the Archon Quests in version 5.0.

Natlan (Quests)

Since we will have a new region, there is a 100% chance we will be getting new World Quests. But the number of quests is definitely not confirmed. Thus, we can only predict for it to be more or less 1000 Primogems by completing all of them after the update maintenance.

Natlan (Exploration)

Another indeterminate number of Primogems are from the explorations. We caught a sneak peek of the Natlan region in the livestream, and it’s definitely massive considering Natlan has different tribal living in different areas. So, combining all the possible Primogems from activating and leveling up Statue of the Sevens, Waypoints, Domain, completing puzzles, and claiming treasure chests, you may obtain 3500 Primogems or even more!
Natlan will also have an offering system similar to Fontaine's Fountain of Lucine but I'm still adding them here.

New Achievements

Alongside new World Quests, we will also get a new set of achievements. And since it’s also unconfirmed how many achievements they will add in version 5.0, it’s assumed that we will get more or less 900 Primogems.

Character Test Runs

There are 4 5-star characters in version 5.0, meaning there will be 4 character test runs that provide 20 Primogems per character. You will get a total of 80 Primogems by completing all test runs.

New Events

There are 4 new events in version 5.0 that give out Primogems, totaling up to 2260 Primogems. Here’s how you get that number:
1. Traces of Artistry: ~1000 Primogems
2. Of Thorns and Crowns: 420 Primogems
3. Mementos of Teyvat: 420 Primogems
4. Dodoco's Boom-Bastic Escapades: 420 Primogems

4th Anniversary Rewards

There will be 2 parts of the 4th-anniversary rewards for Genshin Impact players: Brilliant Dawn which gives out 10 Intertwined Fates, and 1600 Primogems from the in-game mail.

HoYoLAB Daily Check-In

There will be 4 times when you will get Primogems from the Daily Check-In, which are on September 4, September 11, September 18, and October 4 (If you check-in everyday without missing a day). In total, you will get 80 Primogems.

HoYoLAB Web Events

There will usually be 1-3 web events in the duration of one version of Genshin Impact. The thing is, it is mostly random and cannot be predicted. So, the only way you can notice these kinds of events is by keeping up with the Genshin Impact announcements.
Long story short, you may get more or less ~100 Primogems by playing any web events available whenever it’s released.

V5.1 Livestream Redeem Codes

As usual, there will be a Special Program 2 weeks before the update maintenance, and version 5.1 is not excluded from the trend. In the live stream, you will get 300 Primogems after claiming three new redemption codes.

New Version Code

After a few hours of update maintenance, one new redemption code will be available for you to redeem. This occurs every version and I don't think the developer will stop anytime soon. The said code will give you 60 Primogems and usually will stay available until the end of the said version.
