To the Night, What is the Night's is a pretty unique quest where you need to find 3 items called Courier's Trial Keystone around the Ancestral Temple before you can unlock this quest. This guide will help you how to complete this quest from the beginning until the end.

How to Start To the Night, What is the Night's

As mentioned before, there are 3 keys you need to find, and all of them can be obtained by completing the Relay Balls puzzle around the Ancestral Temple. Let's go one by one.

Courier's Trial Keystone #1

Teleport to the waypoint in the middle of the Ancestral Temple and go to the north to find the first Relay Balls puzzle.

Indwell a Yumkasaurus and use its Skill (tap E) to take the ball. Then, throw the ball (hold E to adjust direction) in the direction of the platform. An Exquisite Chest will appear after that and the first Courier's Trial Keystone is inside it.

Courier's Trial Keystone #2

The second puzzle can be found west of the waypoint in the Ancestral Temple. For this, remember that the platform can switch direction if it is being hit.

Take the ball
Attack the platform so it will switch direction. Yes, the gate will be closed but don't worry

(1) So the solution here is, take the ball first and switch the direction of the platform by attacking it using the Yumkasaurus attack.

Throw the ball in the platform
Attack the platform after the ball is launched so the gate is opened again

(2) Throw the ball toward the platform and after it's launched, attack the platform again to switch its direction and so the gate is opened for the ball to go through. Another puzzle completed and you can take the key from the treasure chest spawned.

Courier's Trial Keystone #3

The last puzzle is located northeast of the waypoint. This Relay Balls puzzle is much easier than before. First of all, take the green ball just outside the locked gate.

Throw the green ball to the Ball Path Converter and run back to the locked gate to interact (attack) the switch beside the lock gate to open it. This way, the ball can go inside the gate to head to the platform inside the gate. The puzzle is completed and you get the last Courier's Trial Keystone.

How to Complete To the Night, What is the Night's

Now that you get 3 keys, go to the switch south of the waypoint and interact with it to start the To the Night, What is the Night's quest. After a lot of talking to Legba, time to head deeper inside the temple (just follow the quest navigation for now).

The only puzzle we have down here is to line up all the lights here to activate the switch that will lead you to the last area. There are 3 sets of lights in this area that you need to light up, one on the left side of the room, one in the center, and one on the right side.

Lights on the Center

Let's go with the center first. All you need to do is indwell a Yumkasaurus and use its ability to reach the switch at the center of the room, right behind the Pyroculus, and activate it.

The game will zoom out and you can see 2 lights. Line them up at the same height and stop the mechanism once they're at the same height to complete the puzzle. This will be the same to all other puzzles.

Lights on the Left

Now glide to the left side of this room and you will see a Pyro bomb barrel. Use a Yumkasaurus and throw it toward the barrel so it will explode. This will cause the wall above the barrel to break since it's breakable (use Elemental Insight to see it beforehand).

Go inside the room and interact with the switch for another simple puzzle of lining the lights to the same height. Tips: The light will turn from yellow to red-orange when they're at the same height.

Lights on the Right

For the last light, go to the right side of the room. On the second floor, you can see a locked door that can be opened (once again, use Elemental Sight to see that the door is operatable).

To unlock it, go to the floor below this locked door and you will see a path and stairs that will lead to the second floor, specifically, on the other side of the locked door.

You can see a switch that can open the door, and another mechanism for the light puzzle. Interact with both of them and complete the puzzle.

Now that all the lights has been light up, go back to the switch at the entrance and interact with it. The water level in this area will decrease and you can go deeper inside the ruin.

After that, all you need to do is defeat Wayob (Dendro) and continue with the conversation before you complete the quest. By the end, you will unlock the achievement No Taking Without Permission!
