Genshin Impact: Citlali Pull Recommendation

Role & Strengths Analysis

Role positioning: Citlali is a support character who provides a shield, deals off-field Cryo DMG, and reduced enemies' Hydro and Pyro RES < All these from her Elemental Skill (and Talent) alone. While her Elemental Burst will deal AoE Cryo DMG and restore Nightsoul points for herself which is important to make her Skill deal off-field Cryo DMG.

Support method 1 (via Skill): Tap Elemental Skill to deploy a shield (scaled based on Citlali's Elemental Mastery), gain some Nightsoul points, and summon Itzpapa to deal AoE Cryo damage for one instance.

If she has sufficient Nightsoul points (50 Nightsoul points), Itzpapa will upgrade to angy Itzpapa and creates a storm that continuously deal Cryo DMG until Citlali's Nightsoul points are fully depleted.
Support method 2 (via Talent): When Itzpapa is on the field (by using Skill), if your team trigger Frozen or Melt reactions, the Pyro and Hydro RES of the opponents will be decreased by 20%. In addition, Citlali will also gain Nightsoul points.

Support method 3 (via Burst): Not really a support for the team but support for herself. With her Burst, Citlali deals AoE Cryo DMG and summons Spiritvessel Skull near maximum of 3 opponents. After some time, those skulls will deal AoE Cryo DMG and also restore Nightsoul points for Citlali.

If you're aware by now, Nightsoul points are crucial for Citlali so her Skill can create a storm and Itzpapa to deal continuous AoE Cryo DMG. What are the methods to gain Nightsoul points for Granny?
1. Citlali's Elemental Skill to gain 24 Nightsoul points
2. Citlali's Elemental Burst to gain another 24 Nightsoul points
3. When Itzpapa on the field & Ally trigger Frozen or Melt reactions, Citlali will gain 16 Nightsoul points
4. When party members trigger Nightsoul Bursts, Citlali will gain 4 Nightsoul points

Pulling Recommendations

Pro (Strength)

● Provides a shield and buff from Scroll Hero Cinder City artifact (and sig weapon if you pull for it).
● A great support for Pyro or Hydro DPS teams as she will reduce Pyro and Hydro RES, especially perfect for Melt team and Mavuika.
● With proper teammates, unleashes great off-field Cryo application with decent damage (remember about all the Nightsoul points that she needs to activate this).

Con (Drawback)

● Her shield and damage scales from EM. Elemental Mastery artifacts are hard to come by, so good luck with the farming.
● Citlali's team are limited as her Talent only works to decrease Pyro and Hydro RES.

Should you pull for Citlali?

● Yes, if you're a Citlali fans.
● Yes, if you're a Traveler who is in needs for a shielder, especially if it's for Pyro and Hydro DPS like Arlecchino, Neuvillette, or MAVUIKA.
● No, if you're a Traveler that aren’t interested in Citlali. Rule of thumb, only pull for the characters you like.
● No, if you're a Traveler that does not have suitable DPS for Citlali. Remember that she shines the most in Melt team.

Should you pull for her weapon?

If you'd use a catalyst user before, you'll know a great 3-star weapon: Thrilling Tales of Dragon Slayers.
Sure, it has a big difference with her sig because the sig provides lots of Elemental Mastery and also buff the team. If you have spare Primogems, go for it. If not, you'll know she has other replacements.

How many constellations should you go for?

If you're F2P, C0 is enough. Even with C0, you can still enjoy her decent damage, shield and buffs (from Talent and artifacts).
But if you're willing to spend some cash (or just extremely lucky), C2 is a great point to stop.
C1: When using Elemental Skill, Citlali gain Opalstar Vestments effect where she will obtain 10 Stellar Blades. When any characters (except Citlali) uses Normal/Charged/Plunge/Skill/Burst, Citlali will consume the Blade to increase their DMG. In short, this con will further buffs your DPS.
C2: Citlali and your active character will gain free Elemental Mastery (For Citlali it's permanent, but for active character only if they have the shield from granny). In addition, the Talent's effect that decrease Pyro and Hydro RES is also doubled. This is a cons only for Melt team. If you don't use Melt team with Citlali, don't waste your Primogems to pull for the cons.

C0R1 or C2R0 or Teammates?

The only times you're pulling for constellations if you're willing to go to C2. The second cons is a big damage increase, but remember that it is specifically made for Melt teams. If you're using Citlali for Freeze team. this constellation is needless.
But honestly, instead of weapon or constellations, I'll say go for her teammates IF you don't have suitable one. They even put Mavuika and Arlecchino in the same version! If you really want Citlali because you like her, but don't have good teammates, ignore the weapon and cons and pull for either of these 2 characters.
