Genshin Impact: Ororon Character Quick Guide

Ororon is an off-field DPS character who can harness Electro-Charged reactions and teammates' Nightsoul-aligned attacks to deal continuous Electro DMG.

His Elemental Skill can bounce between enemies, dealing DMG, while his Elemental Burst continuously taunts and attacks nearby opponents.

In addition, under certain conditions, when enemies take Electro-Charged DMG or other characters use Nightsoul-aligned attacks, Ororon's Passive Talent allows him to deal Electro DMG to up to 4 nearby enemies.

This guide is based on the Community Character Builds by the Genshin Helper Team.

Ascension 1: Nightshade Synesthesia

After a nearby party member triggers Nightsoul Burst, Ororon will gain 40 Nightsoul points. Within 15s after using his Elemental Skill, when other party members' Hydro or Electro attacks hit opponents, Ororon will gain 5 Nightsoul points, an effect that can occur every 0.3s for a maximum of 10 times during this 15s duration.
Ororon can have a maximum of 80 Nightsoul points.

Also, when nearby opponents take Electro-Charged reaction DMG or Nightsoul-aligned DMG dealt by other nearby characters, Ororon will consume 10 Nightsoul points (provided he has at least that amount), entering the Nightsoul's Blessing state and triggering the Hypersense effect: Deal Nightsoul-aligned Electro DMG based on 160% of Ororon's ATK to at most 4 nearby opponents. The aforementioned effect can trigger once every 1.8s.

Nightsoul's Blessing: Ororon
Ororon's Nightsoul's Blessing state lasts 6s.

Ascension 4: Aspect Catalyst

After the Elemental Skill Night's Sling's Spirit Orb hits an opponent, Ororon will gain the Aspect Sigil effect for 15s.

Aspect Sigil
When a nearby active party member hits an opponent with Normal, Charged, or Plunging Attacks, that character will restore 3 Energy. If Ororon is off-field, Ororon will also restore 3 Energy. This effect can trigger once every 1s, and can trigger 3 times per duration.

Night Realm's Gift Passive: Flowing Fog, Spritely Shadows

While in an area with Phlogiston Mechanics within Natlan, he can use Nightsoul Transmission: Ororon. When the active character is currently in the air, the following will trigger when switching to Ororon: Ororon will leap up high. Nightsoul Transmission can be triggered once every 10s by your party.

Holding Aiming Mode will cause Ororon to enter the "Spiritspeaker" state, which will allow him to interact with "Nightspirit Graffiti" and "Nightspirit Sigils," extracting information and power from them. The rules for interacting with these objects follow the same rules as those governing Iktomisaurus interactions.

Additionally, holding the jump button will cause Ororon to consume 75 Stamina and leap. In areas within Natlan where Phlogiston mechanics are present, Ororon will prioritize consuming 5 Phlogiston to leap to a height higher still.
When in the air, Ororon can Hold his Normal Attack to consume Phlogiston or Stamina and enter Aiming Mode.

Passive Talent: The Art of Skinchanging

Increases gliding SPD for your own party members by 15%.
Not stackable with Passive Talents that provide the exact same effects.

TLDR / Rotation

Ororon focuses on dealing damage off-field with his Elemental Burst. Beside from Burst, His A1 can also allow him to deal off-field damage whenever an enemy trakes Electro-Charged damage or when the active character deals Nightsoul-aligned damage, with a cooldown of 1.8 seconds.
With his A4 talent, he's able to give up to 9 flat energy per rotation after using his Elemental Skill, whenever the active character uses a Normal Attack, Charged Attack, or Plunging Attack. Ororon will also gain this energy if he is off-field.

For every party member with a different Elemental Type from the wielder, gain 1 Theatrics stack. When the wielder has 1/2/3 or more Gimmick stacks, ATK will be increased by 16%/32%/48%~32%/64%/96%. When the wielder has 1/2/3 or more Theatrics stacks, Movement SPD will be increased by 4%/7%/10%~12%/15%/18%.

3) Thundering Pulse (ATK: 608 • CRIT DMG 66.2%)

Increases ATK by 20~40% and grants the might of the Thunder Emblem. At stack levels 1/2/3, the Thunder Emblem increases Normal Attack DMG by 12/24/40~24/48/80%. 4) Astral Vulture's Crimson Plumage (ATK: 608 • CRIT DMG 66.2%)

For 12s after triggering a Swirl reaction, ATK increases by 24%~48%. 5) Chain Breaker (ATK: 565 • ATK 27.6%)

Note: Ranking assumes 3 stacks.

6) Alley Hunter (ATK: 565 • ATK 27.6%)

While the character equipped with this weapon is in the party but not on the field, their DMG increases by 2~4% every second up to a max of 20~40%. When the character is on the field for more than 4s, the aforementioned DMG buff decreases by 4~8% per second until it reaches 0%.

7) Range Gauge (ATK: 565 • ATK 27.6%)

The Struggle effect can be triggered once every 15s, and Symbols can be gained even when the character is not on the field.

Note: This weapon will perform significantly worse if you do not have a proper healer to maintain 3 stacks. At [R5], this weapon performs similarly to Thundering Pulse.

8) Elegy for the End (ATK: 608 • Energy Recharge 55.1%)

Increases Elemental Mastery by 60~120.
When the Elemental Skills or Elemental Bursts of the character wielding this weapon hit opponents, that character gains a Sigil of Remembrance. This effect can be triggered once every 0.2s and can be triggered even if said character is not on the field.
When you possess 4 Sigils of Remembrance, all of them will be consumed and all nearby party members will obtain the "Millennial Movement: Farewell Song" effect for 12s.
"Millennial Movement: Farewell Song" increases Elemental Mastery by 100~200 and increases ATK by 20~40%. Once this effect is triggered, you will not gain Sigils of Remembrance for 20s.
Of the many effects of the "Millennial Movement," buffs of the same type will not stack.

2 Piece: When a nearby party member triggers a Nightsoul Burst, the equipping character regenerates 6 Elemental Energy.
4 Piece: After the equipping character triggers a reaction related to their Elemental Type, all nearby party members gain a 12% Elemental DMG Bonus for the Elemental Types involved in the elemental reaction for 15s. If the equipping character is in the Nightsoul's Blessing state when triggering this effect, all nearby party members gain an additional 28% Elemental DMG Bonus for the Elemental Types involved in the elemental reaction for 20s. The equipping character can trigger this effect while off-field, and the DMG bonus from Artifact Sets with the same name do not stack.
