Material Farming Guide

Material Farming Guide – Best Stages for Insight and Resonate Materials

The best and most efficient way to farm Insight and Resonate materials for your characters! What are the best stages and should you craft them instead?

As you progress in Reverse: 1999, you will need to materials to strengthen your characters via the Insight and Resonate system. The higher the level, the more materials are needed, and in turn stamina. You also may have wondered what exactly the drop rates mean when by "Common" and "Possible" when trying to farm the stages!

Some planning is required to level your characters efficiently, through various stages, crafting, and from free rewards such as the recurring events. This guide will help you what the best stages are and whether you should be crafting them instead!

This guide is based on the spreadsheet Materials Farming Guide v1.0 by sleepi from the Reverse: 1999 Discord community, which in turn is translated and remixed from the Chinese Reverse: 1999 community.

Drop Rates

To determine what materials are needed to upgrade your character, you can see the item drop sources in more detail. If they can drop from a stage, its drop rate is shown as a Fixed (100%), Common, or Possible reward.

While the exact drop rate of materials are not known other than the guaranteed Fixed rewards, data was collected from players over time which gave enough sample size to make an educated guess. This will be presented in the tables below.
