Lecliss for PVE

Lecliss is undoubtedly one of the tankiest characters in the game. She has extremely high base HP, an exclusive gear that further boosts her HP, and two costumes which both improve her survivability. The Killer Doll costume gives her 85% damage reduction with taunt, so she can be geared to 90% DEF or 90% M.RES to make her nearly impervious to damage. On top of that, she can combo with the Android Queen costume to gain a 160% energy guard and counterattack ability, further increasing her survivability and also allowing her to deal heavy damage to mutli-hit attack enemies.

Despite her extreme tankiness, unfortunately there are not a lot of PVE game modes where you need a big taunting tankEven in end game content like high level fiend hunts, Lecliss is not used for tanking. For the most part, teams should be built for pure offense. If a PVE enemy has a very strong attack, it's usually enough to use an evader (e.g. WC.Rou), team defensive buffs (e.g. Refi, TI.Helena) or Morphea (whose summoned units can be sacrificed).

Lecliss can have some use in Tower of Salvation to help draw enemy fire for a low cost, but otherwise does not have many uses in PVE.

Lecliss for PVP

Killer Doll Lecliss is a top tier PVP costume that can be used both in an attack team and a defense team. Her cost of 1 SP makes her very easy to slot into almost any formation with high impact.

Killer Doll Lecliss is very durable, thanks to her 85% damage reduction on top of her DEF/M.RES. A well geared Killer Doll can soak up most if not all of your opponent's attacks, keeping the rest of your team safe. She is vulnerable to buff removal, but despite this she matches up well against Schera due to being wind type. Lecliss's other main vulnerability is Justia, who can cheese through Lecliss's damage reduction barrier. Justia can one-shot Lecliss if buffed with H.Lathel or BA.Teresse.

In an attack team, Lecliss can be used as a cheap 1 SP filler to keep your team alive on Turn 2. For example, a typical PVP set up could be a 2 SP buff remover (e.g. Schera, Eleaneer), a 2 SP attacker (e.g. Justia, Rubia) and 1 SP Lecliss.

In a defense team, Android Queen is usually the favored first costume over Killer Doll, as the counterattack ability on Android Queen can win games on its own. Of course, Killer Doll still makes for a great follow up play. Killer Doll can also be used first on defense teams to fill any excess SP gap.

In order to get the full value out of Lecliss in PVP, it's best to have both Killer Doll at least +3 full potential (for the SP reduction) and Android Queen +3 full potential. Without Android Queen, Lecliss has no offensive ability which greatly reduces her utility.

Exclusive Gear

Lecliss basically has one job, which is to not die. For that reason, she benefits a lot from her exclusive gear, which gives her +54% HP. Having her exclusive gear helps a lot in high tier PVP.

Note also that Android Queen's counterattack power is based off her max HP, so getting her exclusive gear also indirectly increases damage.

Conclusion

Like most tanks, Lecliss is a character who is primarily used in PVP. Since the balance patch in Dec 2024, Lecliss has become significantly stronger thanks to her drastic SP cost reduction from 3 SP to 1 SP. She's very nice to have in PVP, but she is by no means necessary to have in order to build a strong PVP team: there are plenty of strong PVP teams that don't run Lecliss at all.

The recommendation is to only pull if you are already running her in your main PVP lineups, and want to finish off your existing investment. Otherwise, she is not a high priority for most players.
