Strengths and Weaknesses

Helena's crit rate buff at +5 make magic teams much more consistent.
Her skills are incredibly cheap, and she's even SP positive after enough upgrades.
[PvP] Her buffs are busted for 1 SP.

Her defensive utilities may be strong, but they're currently situational.
Her most important upgrades are locked behind +5.

Costumes

Helena currently has 2 costumes, Top Idol and B-Rank Idol. (Don't get them confused!) Top Idol offers damage reduction and SP gain while B-Rank Idol offers an MATK buff, a Crit Rate buff, and healing.

Top Idol is Helena's base costume, recruitable in the pub's rotating pool.

This costume's damage reduction isn't too important outside of high-level fiend hunt and PvP, but when you do need the defensive utility, this costume is really good at it. However, she does need a couple upgrades to start being effective at it. DMG Reduction only starts being good at 50%, so she needs that much at least, and past 50% is when it becomes really good; 70% DMG reduction is very strong.

This costume also has nice battery utility, although it only really shines at +5, when she generates 5 SP per cast. If you're using Helena for her MATK buffs on B-Rank Idol, you're likely using this costume even at +0 to generate 2 SP at least.

Skill Potential 2 makes it so that Helena can simply alternate between her two costumes, giving her damage reduction 100% uptime and making her SP generation more frequent.

Key Upgrades: Skill Potential 2, DMG Reduction upgrades are niche but strong at ≥50%.

B-Rank Idol is a premiere buffer, whose only weakness is having a slightly lesser MATK buff compared to Medical Club Teresse. However, her crit rate buff (especially at +5) more than makes up for this in all content outside of Fiend Hunt. 50% crit rate is a massive consistency buff, making PvE content much less infuriating from crit fishing.

In PvP, this costume is completely busted in the attack opener once it costs 1 SP, enabling magic DPS units to get away with using Venomous Touch as their accessory, while also allowing Anti-Dystopia Diana to double her energy guard output.

The healing on this costume is just a cherry on top for Helena's overloaded kit.

Key Upgrades: Everything.

Building Helena

Since Helena is a support, you can get by with just giving her defensive gear to make her tanky, but you may also want to give her gear to make her heals better (reminder that heals can crit).

Top Idol
Exclusive Stat — 57 MATK
This gear is definitely not necessary on Helena, since it really only gives her more stats for her heal (or her basic attack if you're using that in PvP).

B-Rank Idol

Simply make Helena more tanky with Top Idol bonds. In PvP, this allows her to more easily hit 110 MRES to resist Eclipse's shred. These bonds also enable her 90/90 build.

or

Build 90 DEF or 90 MRES based on the enemies you're facing. In PvP, you may want to build 110 MRES to potentially withstand Eclipse (although elemental disadvantage works against her).

90/90 Build [PvP]

Substats — 10 DEF + 5 MRES

This build is only worth going for if you're using Helena alongside Anti-Dystopia Diana in PvP. This is because Helena will only have around 5,000 HP with this build, which means that the 90 RES won't matter unless she gets an energy guard from Diana.

Also keep in mind that this build is very expensive.
