Skill Rundown

Boring, Meow!

Trigger: Stack 7 or more chains on any tile.

Triggering this conditional skill will cause the Fiend to reduce all your unit's M/ATK to 0. Therefore, you must not trigger it!

Gotcha, Meow!

Trigger: Any ally has a stat buff.

Trigger C2 at the start of battle by using any buff skill, then have your fire allies take this hit.

The fiend makes it so that both itself and your allies apply 1 more chain per hit. This means that you cannot hit any tile more than thrice after C2, or you will end up triggering C1.

Play With Me, Meow!

If you triggered C2 before S1, the Fiend will apply two chains per hit, satisfying the 14 chain condition to gain bonus Property DMG. Have your fire units take this hit.

I'm Bored, Meow!

Triggering C2 at the start of battle makes it so that the Fiend takes increased damage.

I'm Angry, Meow!

The conditional effect in this skill doesn't seem to be relevant in both description and testing, so just treat this as a normal skill.

Exciting, Meow!

A team wipe! Your next team then takes the stage as the Fiend loops back to S1 and refreshes its conditional skills.

Hunting the Fiend

C2 → S1 → S2 → S3 → S4

Trigger C2 at the start of battle, since both S1 and S2 give you boons if you do so.

Do not trigger C1! Celia is not playable this Fiend Hunt (and Refithea is very suspect). If you're using either Game Club Rafina (physical teams) or Captain Levia (magic teams), you will only want to use them before C2 or after S3. Using them at any other point will cause you to trigger C1.

Fire DPS Review

Loen
Liatris
Eris

Loen — She should be the best fire DPS for this Hunt given that she isn't at risk of triggering C1, and that she has an ×10 AoE multiplier due to her skip square mechanic. Levia releases the day Fiend Hunt starts, so definitely get her for Loen (and other magic DPS's you have for other content).

Liatris — Still a solid option (also a ×10 AoE), but since she has no self buff, Loen should out-DPS her. Additionally, Rodev's Star Liatris will be restricted this Fiend Hunt, since it hits 5 times. Consider using Summer Vacation Dalvi before C2 and after S3 to enable Maid Liatris.

Eris — Also a great option since she has way above rate damage when there's no chainer, but her AoE being significantly worse (×6 AoE) means that she's more or less a sidegrade to Liatris in terms of raw DMG. However, the fact that she doesn't need a DoT enabler gives Eris another amplifier that Liatris may not have access to.

The other fire DPS units will likely struggle compared to these three, since they either can't compete in terms of AoE (Lathel), or they apply too many chains, putting them at risk of triggering C1 (Anastasia, Elise).
