Xingqiu's Off-Field DPS build centers on his ability to deal damage off-field with his Elemental Burst. His ER needs can change a lot based on team and constellations, and so do his list of recommended weapons. As such this serves as a general idea of which weapons are most viable on Xingqiu.

The weapon rankings assume you are running enough Energy Recharge to get Xingqiu's burst up off cooldown. If you are not, select an Energy Recharge weapon from this list.

1) Primordial Jade Cutter (ATK: 542 • Crit Rate: 44.1%)

HP increased by 20/25/30/35/40%. Additionally, provides an ATK bonus based on 1.2/1.5/1.8/2.1/2.4% of the wielder's max HP.

2) Mistsplitter Reforged (ATK: 674 • Crit DMG: 44.1%)

Gain a 12/15/18/21/24% Elemental DMG Bonus for all elements and receive the might of Mistsplitter's Emblem. At stack levels 1/2/3, Mistsplitter's Emblem provides a (8/16/28)/(10/20/35)/(12/24/42)/(14/28/49)/(16/32/56)% Elemental DMG Bonus for the character's Elemental Type. The character will obtain 1 stack of Mistsplitter's Emblem in each of the following scenarios: Normal Attack deals Elemental DMG (stack lasts 5s), casting Elemental Burst (stack lasts 10s); Energy is less than 100% (stack disappears when Energy is full). Each stack's duration is calculated independently.

3) Haran Geppaku Futsu (ATK: 608 • Crit Rate: 33.1%)

Obtain 12/15/18/21/24% All Elemental DMG Bonus. When other nearby party members use Elemental Skills, the character equipping this weapon will gain 1 Wavespike stack. Max 2 stacks. This effect can be triggered once every 0.3s. When the character equipping this weapon uses an Elemental Skill, all stacks of Wavespike will be consumed to gain Rippling Upheaval: each stack of Wavespike consumed will increase Normal Attack DMG by 20/25/30/35/40% for 8s.

4) Light of Foliar Incision (ATK: 542 • Crit DMG: 88.2%)

CRIT Rate is increased by 4/5/6/7/8%. After Normal Attacks deal Elemental DMG, the Foliar Incision effect will be obtained, increasing DMG dealt by Normal Attacks and Elemental Skills by 120/150/180/210/240% of Elemental Mastery. This effect will disappear after 28 DMG instances or 12s. You can obtain Foliar Incision once every 12s.

5) Skyward Blade (ATK: 608 • Energy Recharge: 55.1%)

Crit Rate increased by 4/5/6/7/8%. Gains Skypiercing Might upon using an Elemental Burst: Increases Movement SPD by 10%, increases ATK SPD by 10%, and Normal and Charged hits deal additional DMG equal to 20/25/30/35/40% of ATK. Skypiercing Might lasts for 12s.

6) Summit Shaper (ATK: 608 • ATK: 49.6%)

Increases Shield Strength by 20/25/30/35/40%. Scoring hits on opponents increases ATK by 4/5/6/7/8% for 8s. Max 5 stacks. Can only occur once every 0.3s. While protected by a shield, this ATK increase effect is increased by 100%.

7) Favonius Sword (ATK: 454 • Energy Recharge: 61.3%)

CRIT Hits have a 60/70/80/90/100% chance to generate a small amount of Elemental Particles, which will regenerate 6 Energy for the character. Can only occur once every 12/10.5/9/7.5/6s.
Note: The Energy this weapon can provide to teammates is a useful support option and may lead Favonius to be better than the above options.

8) Finale of the Deep (ATK: 565 • ATK: 27.6%)

When using an Elemental Skill, ATK will be increased by 12/15/18/21/24% for 15s, and a Bond of Life worth 25% of Max HP will be granted. This effect can be triggered once every 10s. When the Bond of Life is cleared, a maximum of 150/187/225/262.5/300 ATK will be gained based on 2.4/3/3.6/4.2/4.8% Of the total amount of the Life Bond cleared, lasting for 15s.
Note: This weapon's value depends on the healing capabilities of your team. It also scales heavily with refinements. At [R5] with a cleared Bond of Life, this weapon can rival Summit Shaper.

9) Festering Desire (ATK: 510 • Energy Recharge: 45.9%)

Increases Elemental Skill DMG by 16/20/24/28/32% and Elemental Skill CRIT Rate by 6/7.5/9/10.5/12%.
Energy Recharge Swords: Weapons that provide some form of Energy regen for Xingqiu become more valuable in teams where Xingqiu requires more ER to burst every rotation.

10) Sapwood Blade (ATK: 565 • Energy Recharge: 30.6%)

After triggering Burning, Quicken, Aggravate, Spread, Bloom, Hyperbloom, or Burgeon, a Leaf of Consciousness will be created around the character for a maximum of 10s. When picked up, the Leaf will grant the character 60/75/90/105/120 Elemental Mastery for 12s. Only 1 Leaf can be generated this way every 20s. This effect can still be triggered if the character is not on the field. The Leaf of Consciousness' effect cannot stack.
Note: This weapon can be especially useful as a support weapon in Dendro based teams.

Recommended Artifacts

  1. Emblem of Severed Fate (4)*
  2. Noblesse Oblige (4)*
  3. Nymph's Dream (4)
    ~= Noblesse Oblige (2) / 15% Hydro DMG Bonus set (2) / +18% ATK set (2) / Emblem of Severed Fate (2) [Choose Two]
  4. Blizzard Strayer (4)*

1) Emblem of Severed Fate

2-Piece Bonus: Energy Recharge +20%
4-Piece Bonus: Increases Elemental Burst DMG by 25% of Energy Recharge. A maximum of 75% bonus DMG can be obtained in this way.
Note: This set falls off in terms of damage if Xingqiu has less than 130% Energy Recharge.

2) Noblesse Oblige

2-Piece Bonus: Elemental Burst DMG +20%
4-Piece Bonus:
Using an Elemental Burst increases all party members' ATK by 20% for 12s. This effect cannot stack.
Note: Offers party-wide ATK boost, you can use this set on Xingqiu if nobody else on the party is able to use it better. If someone else on the team already has Noblesse Oblige (4), Noblesse Oblige (4) should not be used.

3) Nymph's Dream

2-Piece Bonus: Hydro DMG Bonus +15%
4-Piece Bonus:
After Normal, Charged, and Plunging Attacks, Elemental Skills, and Elemental Bursts hit opponents. 1 stack of Mirrored Nymph will triggered, lasting 8s. When under the effect of 1, 2, or 3 or more Mirrored Nymph stacks, ATK will be increased by 7%/16%/25%, and Hydro DMG will be increased by 4%/9%/15% Mirrored Nymph created by Normal, Charged, and Plunging Attacks, Elemental Skills, and Elemental Bursts exist independently.

4) Blizzard Strayer

2-Piece Bonus: Cryo DMG Bonus +15%
4-Piece Bonus:
When a character attacks an opponent affected by Cryo, their CRIT Rate is increased by 20%. If the opponent is Frozen, CRIT Rate is increased by an additional 20%.
Note: This set is only recommended on a freeze team to optimize Xingqiu's stats since he can mildly disregard Crit Rate and build Crit Damage instead for more damage output. Despite it outperforming Emblem of Severed Fate (4) within this niche, it is generally not recommended to specifically farm for this set.
